Services
Selectacare is a Canadian home care company that was founded in 1979 by William and Joan Lindsay. After many years working in the community, Joan recognized there was a great need for home care services that put the client first. They started Selectacare based on this philosophy and the company has continued to provide this client focused home care for over 40 years.
The first step is to talk about our services in order to make sure they are the right fit for you. Any of our office team can answer your questions so you never have to wait for someone to call you back. If you decide our services are the right match for your needs, our goal is to arrange everything so that starting services isn't disruptive or overwhelming.
We take pride in our caregiving team. We know all our caregivers personally, Ensuring our team has right training, experience and a passion for caregiving is what ensures great care. One of our core values is to provide our caregivers with stable long-term employment. We believe this core value benefits you, our clients, because it ensures we have a skilled and reliable group of caregivers.
Looking for the right assistance can be a daunting task. Answering your questions is one of the most important parts of finding out if we are the right match for you. Greg and the team at Selectacare are absolutely fantastic. They are attentive, flexible and caring. Time and time again they have gone the extra mile to make sure our care needs are met. They are clearly doing something right because so many of their caregivers have been with them for years. I highly, highly recommend this agency to anyone in the Toronto area looking for exceptional in-home and in-facility support.

Professional, personal, caring, and an all round outstanding company! if I could give them 6 stars I would. Selectacare will hands down be my only choice when recommending care giving services to friends and family. I will always be so very grateful to my father's caregivers, especially Julie, for giving my father the quality of life he so deserved. "Papa G's" Angels cared for him, laughed with him, sang with him, and made certain he felt loved, and I know in my heart that helped extend his life to the amazing age of 96! From my very first call to Selectacare right up to today's review, I knew I made a perfect choice. Greg was so receptive and understanding that I felt I was speaking to a family member. I was having mastectomy surgery He knew exactly what my specific needs were in living with my 97 year old mom and chose PSWs who were sensitive to the needs of older people as well as my own specific personal requirements. The ladies were amazing and treated us as if we were their family members. I knew we were in good and capable hands from the moment I arrived home from hospital. Now that I'm on the road to recovery

Over the last 7 months Selectacare's companions - Josie & Michelle gave my late father in law Ted Davis the most wonderful care, quality time & kindness. Greg went over & beyond in assisting us, especially when helping arrange for someone familar to accompany Ted for the treatments he had Sunnybrook Hospital so that he was not alone. If ever the need arises we would definitely use Selectacare again & highly recommend them for any of your personal support worker & companion needs.
