A native Torontonian of mixed Chinese and Caucasian heritage, Ryan also speaks Cantonese and enjoyed yearly trips to China throughout his upbringing. Since a young age he has been a practitioner of Kung Fu, and has attained the status of Sifu in the style of Praying Mantis. Competing in both forms and sparring matches, Ryan has won medals at several competitions.

Through our experience and over the last 5000 years, acupuncture has treated a very wide array of conditions and disorders. This is accomplished by treating the underlying weakness or blockage which lead to the feeling of a symptom in the first place. Therefore, our concern is focused on how your body is functioning and healing rather than what symptoms are present.
Arthritis is not actually a specific condition but rather refers to a group of over 100 medical conditions including gout, ankylosing spondylitis, and scleroderma. It refers to conditions of the musculoskeletal system, especially where two bones meet to form a joint. The conditions are felt as weakness or pain and are usually inflammatory in nature.
Bell's Palsy is a relatively sudden and temporary paralysis or weakness on one side of the face. Symptoms typically come on without warning over a 48 hour period, at which point they peak, and take several weeks to recede. Full recovery often takes about 6 months.

Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetes that can, if left untreated, cause blindness. An estimated half a million Canadians currently have diabetic retinopathy and it is currently the leading cause of blindness in Canadians under 50 (1). When blood sugar levels are high the tiny blood vessels at the back of the eye (the retina) can become blocked.
We don't usually notice how our eyes feel until something is wrong with them. Having dry eyes is the sensation of something being stuck in the eye or a gritty, scratchy, stingy, or uncomfortable feeling; In some cases there can be eye redness, light sensitivity, blurry vision, or eye fatigue. Episodes of these feelings can be interspersed with excessive tearing as the eye tries to compensate for the dryness.

I have RP for my whole life, my periphral and night vision have been going down. I lost my license and had to hire driver to take me around. I find Ryans clinic and he said he can help me to get better vision. I did 2 weeks acupuncture and I notice I can see more and peripheral getting better. I went back to government to get my eyes retest for my license. Im so happy to say that I just passed yesterday and will be getting license back now. Im so grateful to Ryan and to acupuncture for helping me. Thank You!!!

Im so happy I found Avenue Acupuncture. I started suffering from insomnia and really bad anxiety about a month ago. I tried just about everything as my daily life was drastically affected. Brendan is amazing! I went in 2 weeks ago with extreme high anxiety and insomnia, he recommended some herbs and I had a few session of acupuncture. My life has changed for the better, my anxiety is extremely low and I feel back to my old self and my insomnia is gone. I visited Avenue Acupuncture when I could barely move my neck and was in a huge amount of pain. I had two sessions initially, one with acupuncture and cupping, and then a second session of cupping. While the pain didn't go immediately, it helped immensely. I found Brendan very considerate and eager to help and was very accommodating about scheduling additional follow ups as needed. I would highly recommend Avenue Acupuncture and am very glad I found them.

Ryan is understanding and listens to my concerns. He explained everything to me in an obvious manner. He was also kind and friendly. All of the staff was great – they were helpful, patient, and helped with my appointments. This practice is busy, but I’ve never had to wait too long. I highly recommend this place.

Having life long anxiety, ptsd, hyper-ventilation and Ocd issues... Took only 3 sessions of Acupuncture so far by Brenden, and already feeling so good specially after 3rd session, never felt that much peaceful, calm and aligned in my life ever, looking forward for next sessions. I’m not over exaggerating when I say that Brendan has completely changed me life. I have had eczema my entire life and during my most recent flare up I took a chance and went to Avenue Acupuncture. 3 days after acupuncture and taking the herbs recommended to me, my eczema was cleared. Brendan is an amazing professional. I was experiencing rosacea flare-ups and decided to have acupuncture sessions to relief the symptoms. I've been seeing Brendan for a couple of weeks now and not only my face redness is almost gone, but also my sleep difficulty has been treated, and my sleep improved tremendously. Highly recommended.

We have always had great results from Ryan's healing acupuncture touch - amazing results for treating trigger finger, healing muscle tear in the shoulder, and most recently treating burning mouth syndrome. I have been seeing Brendan Dolan for 5 sessions and he has been and continues to be incredibly knowledgeable and helpful each time I visit the clinic. I have been taking the herbal supplements in conjunction with the acupuncture treatments and my Eczema has dramatically lessened, not to mention the itching is virtually non existent. I leave the clinic feeling better than when I entered. Fantastic clinic! Both my mom and I went here to be treated for different physical issues: she was having pain in her feet from arthritis and I was having pain in my abdomen/rib cage from a fall. Both of us had incredible results. For me, I started feeling significantly better after the first treatment! The clinic is quiet and clean and the staff is very friendly, professional, and certainly knowledgeable. I have had acupuncture done at several clinics and this one is by far the best. Will certainly be back if I need acupuncture in the future.

Being new to acupuncture treatment, and within the first 6 months of a first time pregnancy, the idea of "teach and treat" was of utmost importance to me. Brendan actively takes the time to educate on the practice and techniques prior to engaging in treatment, developing a level of comfort between the patient and practitioner.
