We started back in 1975, helping young Canadians live the dream of living and working in different countries around the world. We made it our mission to help Canadians land on their feet in new cities by helping them find accommodation and jobs, as well as host social events.
We still proudly do that today, but over the years we've also expanded our horizons to include exciting programs in volunteering (in South Africa and India), teaching abroad (Thailand and Vietnam), and most recently into language and cultural programs (Japan and Costa Rica)!

Services
SWAP Working Holidays is a not-for-profit organization that has been working for over 40 years to promote cultural exchange opportunities to Canadians. We started in 1975 and have been going strong ever since. Back then (a time before internet, selfies, and #hashtags), we sent 7 brave Canadian youth to work and travel across the world to New Zealand.

I'm sure they're fine in normal times, but I've had a pretty awful experience during the pandemic. I wanted to use their services as they are the only agency that can submit your application for you, negating the need to go into the consulate for the interview, which would be nice especially during a pandemic. They kept telling me week after week that they were opening their Japan working holiday service shortly, then after a month they told me that they were scared about the border closing, which is a completely valid concern, but why wouldn't they mention that from the start? I let them know
