Comfortable Hiking Holidays has been providing memorable hiking holidays since 1986. We offer a year round program of guided hiking holidays in Europe, South America, Asia, the Caribbean and Africa. Each destination and program is priced to give you excellent value for your money. Our goal is to make your trip an unforgettable experience.
Let us do the work for you. All hikes and accommodations are carefully taken care of; we promise you an experience you'll never forget. The pristine island of Dominica -- the wildest in the Caribbean -- was green long before anyone heard of eco-tourism. Comfortable Hiking Holidays is proud to donate $15 from the proceeds of each reservation to the World Animal Protection.

Hikes range in length from 10 to 23 km each, depending on the trip, and some may have dropout points. Your hike leader will go into greater detail about each hike with you. All the hikes are optional; you can do as many or as few of them as you wish. Each holiday is rated based on the degree of difficulty of the hikes.
HIKING BOOTS are advisable for any hike, which passes over rough, uneven terrain. They provide protection and support for the feet and ankles, help keep your feet dry in wet, marshy areas and give traction on wet rocks, hills and uneven surfaces. Look for boots that have a good, lugged (deep pattern) sole.

We had several trips with Comfortable Hiking Holidays. Super fun. The hiking routes were interesting and just the right amount of challenge, the other guests are always great to meet and chat with, the restaurants well chosen. Best of all the hosts/guides are wonderful, caring people. Highly recommended!

I travelled with CHH on the Amalfi trip, and to Corfu. Thoroughly enjoyed both. The accommodation and food were very good, although I think that Amalfi is a standout in terms of both. If you enjoy wine and limoncello it’s the place to be! Both trips were well organized and well paced...just the right amount of challenge. There is also enough free… time to explore each location you are at on your own...and recommended side trips on a day off we’re excellent. I’m thinking of Ravello in Italy and the donkey sanctuary on Corfu. Both trips were a wonderful way to experience

Just returned on Mar 21 from the 2020 Portugal 1 trip. Maddalena and Robert were amazing. Their daily adaptation to increasing governmental restrictions for covid 19 kept the group informed, housed in luxury, wined and dined, entertained and comfortable in the midst of all the turmoil. Thank you guys for all the juggling, rescheduling, communicating and good spirits.

My first trip with Comfortable Hiking, to Provence, France, just ended a week ago. Amazing from the first day to the last. Hotels were first rate, and the food was the equivalent of a four star Michelin restaurant. Attention to detail was evident in every day of our trip. I can hardly wait for another Comfortable Hiking trip.

Just did my first trip on the Amalfi coast celebrating a friend’s birthday. OMG it was so much more than what I expected. Great long hikes, discovering the area on foot, got to amazing vistas, enjoyed superb food and first class lodging. Owner passionate as guide, and it shows. It was great to not only hike, but enjoy all the other pleasures of life! I think the photos have convinced my husband to join me on the next trip Will definitely return Hélène
