Melissa is a senior stylist with 21 years of experience in hair, following in the footsteps of her father, who was a hairstylist and the owner of Puressence Spa Salon. She has taken her passion for making people look and feel her best all the way to Bermuda for a short period of time, but has now taken on the role of salon owner here at The Next Gen Salon and Spa.
Specialty: Melissa specializes in creating beautiful blondes and is certified in Hot Heads, a non-damaging tape in extension method. She loves all things Aveda, but her go-to is the Damage Remedy-Daily Hair Repair which is a product that instantly detangles, repairs and protects against heat. Klaine graduated from the Aveda Institute in Winnipeg in 2019 and has been perfecting her skills ever since.

Beautifully renovated salon(it’s been there for decades, just rebranded) that’s a true gem in west side of the city, just a few mins from Polo Park. The owner and staff are all super friendly, energetic, and positive. The prices are fair. The salon is very clean and bright. But most importantly, the haircuts are fantastic! I highly recommend you drop by and give them a try if you haven’t already!

My experience at the Next Gen Salon has been only amazing. My hairstylist Jasmine is the best. She is so professional yet so fun to talk to. The entire staff there does everything they can to make you feel comfortable and welcome. The customer service is top notch and the best thing is that there is a salon dog!! If that doesn’t make you want to come here I don’t know what will. The salon is always so clean and the entire atmosphere/vibe in there is immaculate. Great music choices and is overall such a great place to be for any service you may need. Highly recommend!!

Jasmine is the best! I won't trust just anyone with my hair, but I know every time I go in I can give her full freedom to do her thing, and I'll love it every time! She does it all — cuts, colours, styles — and does it extremely well. The salon itself is also a beautiful building. It's very modern, open, and inviting, and all the staff are super welcoming and fun to be around.
