Interesting products the dealing with Jim and Cheryl, it is less than a pleasant experience, the work itself is decent in comparison to less artisan's,there are so many artisan's producing similar work ,to search elsewhere would be advised, the lack of care reflects in the spirit and experience and will follow the work into your home not worth the time .Good luck with your purchase.

Both staff were helping the same customer wrap up a small article. I approached with some simple questions about a large carving I was hoping to buy. I was ignored. I tried again and asked about the artist. It looked as if one was doing most of the work with the other patrons so I thought I could ask a question. I had already waited over 30 minutes and noone asked me to wait or anything. Not even a greeting!
I was now being told to go to the mall information kiosk?
I then asked why the mall desk would have information about something I wished to purchase in their store. Again ignored

I was saddened that the store at Semiahmoo Mall has closed. Had hoped it was the popup store that was having a close-out sale. It was a treat to enjoy your beautiful authentic artwork and other products, something for every budget. I love the Mother Earth Essentials Sweetgrass fragrance oil, and have some decorative pieces in my home. I hope you will continue your important work.

After briefly experiencing this place, I can completely understand the negative reviews.
I contacted them via email inquiring about having a necklace made. Long story short, maybe she assumed I was looking for a freebie or something. Regardless, I felt rather insulted (and Im NOT an easily offended person). This project was NOT a matter of difficulty, I just wanted someone experienced in making jewelry and was of native descent to do this for me, as it was memorbilìa from my Grandfather who passed away recently. Money wasn't an object either (yet she dismissed it almost instantly) their loss

I love that there is a local Indigenous store that supports local Indigenous artists. There are so many beautiful carvings that it makes it very difficult to choose. It is wonderful that the artwork is sold with the artists bio, it is important they are given credit for their work. We shop here all the time however we make sure to pop in and pick up gifts for family every time we travel. 🌟

Cheryl and her husband, own this place, and they're so nice! They've treated me like one of their own people! They are truly angels in disguise! The items in their store are a bit pricey, but, worth it; because, they're locally sourced, and well made! They're so helpful with everything! I'll definitely be buying stuff there, in the not so distant future!

I have been here to buy wedding gifts for friends and they have a wonderful assortment of Native art at a variety of price points. The staff were patient and helpful in choosing the right gift and even wrapped it up nicely. I keep going back to get gifts for friends and family as I believe they have a great selection that represents BC well.

I was in Cheryl's Trading Post this past Saturday morning with my daughter and we got the most amazing service. Really! We didn't want to leave and my daughter even wanted to go back again to say goodbye. Beautiful, unique, and special gift items with a story to boot. Thank you so much! We love our Guatemalan rainbow bead hair clip, dreamcatcher, and necklace!
