Stay Away ( long rant ) First time there and it is our last.
First off let me start by saying the seasonals there are great. Very friendly and helpful.
As for the camp ground it’s self it needs work. The pool area is disgustingly dirty. The kids waiting pool is very dirty with debris and green slimy goo in it. The washroom/change room is a… health hazard. Lots of mold and filth. The toilets are dirty, the floors I was scared to walk on with my shoes on. The sink to wash your hands is falling apart. I walked out and held myself until I went back to my campsite. The field where the pirate

Been coming here since 2013 with visit my Father in Law. Now we come with our little family at least 3 times a summer. In-between camping and visiting, we come so frequent that we purchased our own yearly membership for the gate. Lots of fun stuff for the kids to do, including bingo, scavenger hunts, and the fan favourite, the massive pirate ship… boats! Adult fun includes bands, washers, darts and bingo just to name a few. Breakfast on Sundays are great! Nothing like a home cooked meal just before packing up!

First time going and will never go back. bathrooms were filthy with what looked like black mold starting on the walls and roofs. sites have no shade and your literally on top of each other. the older couple running it are extremely rude, especially the old man . the pool you either have to go down twenty flights of stairs or a suicide hill with… loose gravel making for injuries due to people slipping. This park needs owners with a bit of pride in their business. regular upkeep would help this park tremendously and if the owners demeanor wasnt so vile it would've been a much more enjoyable

Nice little park we actually we were considering a seasonal site until we met Jack the ripper while playing fetch with our Dog Jack proceed to yell at my kids and myself and he then made it his misson nit pick about everything and drive by everyday afterwards Jacks got his favorites. Too bad because it could be a great park otherwise...the electrical is a little sketchy there it kept tripping breakers on the trailer and you would get a little buzz from the door frames now and then...hopefully they will get rid of Jack and get a friendlier more organized staff so I can give it 5 stars and go back

Well not be returning. Definitely catered to seasonal campers. If you are a weekend/ or occasional camper they put you in your own segregated area with absolutely no shade and one bathroom area which is a bit worn down and cleaned occasionally. The hike to the pool is quite downhill and no car access just golf carts or walking.

Edit to add
After looking at reviews going back more than 2 years it appears that the owner and his wife have no concept of customer service and are routinely rude and aggressive. The pool issue also seemed to happen last year as well. When it’s 40+ with humidity and the camp site has no true shade and only sun exposed activities to do how can the pool not be a priority??
Also paying to go there was never an issue.

Owners wife is an absolute nightmare. We have never been treated like this in any situation. Booked for 2 weeks, got there and they said the pool was closed- only after

Very disappointed in this location. Firstly fire ban only applies to non season campers. The season campers do what they want when they want. 11pm quiet time only applies to non season campers. Season campers do what they want. People driving around in golf carts drinking alcohol and smoking non cigarettes. Do not bring your family here. Use at own risk.

Shangrila Family Campground is a Beautiful spot for campers. Over the 6 years we've been here, many major improvements have been made. There are lots of activities available for both Children and Adults alike. Fantastic meals every long weekend including awesome fireworks! Great Bands! Pirate ships made special for the children by the owner, a well maintained pool with lifeguard, beautiful gardens, clean washrooms, new large capacity laundry machines, cabins for rent and so much more. The management try their best to provide a well respected campground for all, with zero tolerance for troublemakers

Cons: The front desk young lady wasn't terribly friendly. The campsites were VERY poorly marked. The picnic tables, apparently labeled with each site number, were difficult to locate (we had to find our own and move it and it wasn't the correct number in the end, but we had no choice). No trees for shade. The bathroom stalls kept running out of toilet paper. Our biggest complaint were the terribly loud, inconsiderate campers within feet of us (& others in other parts of the campground) that were loudly talking while using profanity EVERY OTHER WORD and doing so WELL past the quiet time of 11 pm

We have been here 5 years of the previous 6. We find it a very relaxing campground, the tent sites are a very good size. The washrooms are always clean. As with any campground there will be issues..either with running out of TP or unruly campers. I agree that the sites could be marked a bit better, even after 5yrs we still get a bit confused. Every time we have come up they have had activities, for the kids and adults alike. We will keep coming back as long as it remains comfortable.

Stayed August 2016 civic long weekend. Booking the site was fine and staff were helpful in that regard. Finding the campsite was ok. The pull through sites are really crammed in together. There was basically 6ft between us and the back of the next trailer. Here is my biggest issue with the place. I don't believe management is interested or can afford to maintaining this place anymore. All of the activities like putt-putt golf, shuffle board, pool table etc. were completely covered in leaves and branches from the overhead trees. Why not take a leaf blower and clean them up for the biggest weekend
