Due to the current seller’s market in real estate, I placed an offer on a house without a subject to inspection. After the offer was accepted, I called Crooker Hancox for an inspection for my own benefit. What a great call!
First off, the inspector was punctual and well-prepared, by the time I went out to greet him, he’d already started working, assessing parts of the house that are visible from the street. After introductions, he explained in a thorough but easy to understand manner how he was going to conduct the inspection.

Dean carried out two separate home inspections recently for us before we decided to make a purchase. We expected these "pre-purchase" inspections to be standard and with limited value, but we were thoroughly surprised by what we received from Dean'! Dean took the patience and time to understand each of the home's strength and weaknesses and carefully walked us through a "story board" of the home so we could make an informed decision on our purchase. He showed a genuine care at looking out for his client's interest and his approach alleviated quite alot of mental stress for us!

I can't imagine that there's anyone better in the home inspection industry than Dean Jerome at Crooker Hancox. Dean is incredibly professional and personable. As a first-time home buyer, going in to my first home inspection I wasn't sure what to expect. I walked away with a thorough understanding of the condition of the property, including my short-term and long-term priorities for work that needs to be done, which helped me feel confident in my decision to buy the house. Dean completed our home inspection and his services were beyond worth the cost for the peace of mind we needed to complete our home purchase. Our inspector arrived early and greeted us with an overview of the process. I had Chuck Crooker do a home inspection for my first house many years ago and he did a fantastic job. I recently moved into a new home and without hesitation called upon him again to perform an inspection. He does an exceedingly thorough job and not only points out issues but also educates you on maintenance items and other things to know or look out for in a house. He leaves a detailed report and even emails pictures of all of the issues that are found. All around a great inspector and would recommend him to anyone!

This message came to us from a very happy client, they asked me to post it here so here it is. My husband and I were debating whether or not to even get an inspection on the house but included the condition anyway. We both thought the house looked pretty good for its age but called the office to book an appointment at the last minute.
