The Abbotsford Flying Club (AFC) promotes general aviation by providing its members with a friendly and fun aviation-oriented environment and encouraging them to remain active in the flying community. The club actively supports and participates in the Abbotsford Airshow. The club also supports the local community though events such as AFC's First Flights for Kids where children are given their first taste of flight in a small airplane.

Steve Henry takes us for a tour of his impressive Just Aircraft Highlander which has been extensively modified to be optimised for short takeoff and landing (STOL) operations. With 300hp and only 800lbs of weight, it launches like a dragster. The event was very well attended with about 200 people in attendance, of which 15 were representatives of the AFC.
