Welcome to the Three Castles Resort on Lower Buckhorn Lake, your friendly, quiet, cottage resort in the beautiful town of Buckhorn, Ontario in the heart of the Kawarthas. We boast 17 Lakefront Cottages and Lakefront Suites on 1600 feet of shoreline on Lower Buckhorn Lake. A popular fishing location for decades, we lie at the dam next to Lock 31 which divides Upper Buckhorn Lake, Chemong Lake and Pigeon Lake from Lower Buckhorn Lake.
We are a quick walk to shops, restaurants, grocery, Liquor Store and Lock 31 of the Trent Severn Waterway. Take a drive and explore the towns of Peterborough, Lakefield and Bobcaygeon that are all less than a 20 minute drive away. Try fishing on Lower Buckhorn Lake. A number of species can be found from Walleye (Pickerel), Muskie, Bass (Small Mouth & Large Mouth), Black Crappie, Blue Gill, Perch.

Services
All of our fine Housekeeping Cottages overlook Lower Buckhorn Lake. They are completely insulated and have electrical heating, major appliances, cooking utensils, modern indoor plumbing, Government approved water, excellent beds and comfortable furniture. Gas BBQ's are provided to every unit. Linen is included with all cottages, but please supply your own towels and face cloths.

I have had the pleasure to rent a boat and motor from Loui a number 9f times now and he is absolutely wonderful to rent from!!
He always returns my calls promptly and he is very dependable and the price point is Awesome! His boats are dry and motors run like a top . I will jot even think of renting from anyone else when I go up to the cottage on lower Buckhorn lake. Thank you once again Loui.

We've been coming to 3 castles for numerous years. Louis and his family have always been wonderful hosts. Clean, beautiful cabins, comfy beds and great views. Louis is always walking around the park available to help at all times.

We'll be heading up to 3 Castles this summer for our 11th year! Can't believe we haven't written a review yet! This is such a picturesque spot we look forward to visiting all year. The owners are fantastic and the cottages are clean and well equipped with everything you need. With docking and a launch, such a beautiful lake for fishing, and so important to us - dog friendly. Walking distance to all the amenities you need in Buckhorn. Thanks to Louis and Korin, it feels like home each time we arrive!

Great place to relax, fish, boating, reading, BBQ, boat launch, fire pit and meet new people. Amenities are walking distance. Good Restaurant a short walk to the lift lock. Stars in the sky are like no other. Owner Louie and his staff will bend over backward to help you. Wonderfull people. Will be booking again for next year.

We’ve been going up there for 3 years now. Two years we went in July but last year we went for the walleye opener. The fishing there is great. Have caught plenty of largemouth, plenty of walleye, some tanker smallmouth, and musky. Cottages are small but very clean with everything you’ll need for meals excluding the food. Swimming is great off the dock. It’s not a 5 star Caribbean resort but great for families who love the lakes, outdoors and fishing. Louis is great and is always right there to answer question or help with anything. Can’t say enough good about it (sorry I haven’t reviewed

Been coming here for a few years now and have never been disappointed! The host is awesome! The cottages are clean and comfortable with amazing views of the lake. With the shape of Lower Buckhorn Lake you can go out fishing in almost any weather. It is never to choppy to go out! We throughly enjoyed the back deck of cottage #10. Early morning sun, mid afternoon shade and great views of the sunsets. Made up for our lack of success at fishing today.
