We got scammed. The owner told us a 10'x4' foot runner rug was made in Iran (ie "Persian Made" which is how he described it on the receipt ) which he normally sells for $1,400 dollars but was marking down to the below cost price of $480 dollars ($ 537.000 with tax) because the store was closing forever. However, when we got home we found a label on the back for Risa Rugs and went to their website were we found the identical rug. We called them and it was retailing for $ 120.00 and it was made in Turkey. We checked further and found out that Persian rugs never have sewn on fringes, which this one

At Amir Rug Gallery, everything is made by hand. All rugs are either silk or wool and some are a blend of both. They sell only area rugs, (so no furniture), with a few rugs that are really nice wall hangings. Nice store, friendly owner. I saw a couple of silk rugs that I would definitely have in my home. Thanks for the look .....
