When we take on the responsibility of caring for you or your family member, and when you invite us into your home, this is the biggest compliment our company can be given. It is for this reason that HomeWell Durham never hires anyone we would not welcome into our own homes. Each HomeWell employee undergoes comprehensive pre-employment screening that goes beyond the standard interviews and references.
Many of our companions are mature individuals who have experienced first-hand the stress and anxiety associated with dealing with a senior family member or friend. They completely understand the importance of having peace of mind when you are unable to be there yourself. Our team of companions realize how extra attention to the little things can make a huge difference to someone's life.
All of our PSW's have obtained extensive training through a Certified Personal Support Worker Program. Their training includes: personal hygiene, bathing assistance, lifts and transfers, palliative care, mobility and safety training, dementia and Alzheimer care, medication assistance, household management and nutritional meal preparation training.
When you connect with HomeWell Care Services, be it through a referral or on your own, one of our Care Managers will work with you throughout the process. Our Care Managers' primary responsibility is to assess your needs and recommend the best possible care plan for your situation.

We offer live-in and hourly care for seniors and older adults who want to remain at home but who may be struggling to meet their own needs as a result of aging, illness, or injury. HomeWell Care Services offers in-home care within the familiar surrounds of home whether home is a private residence, assisted living facility, retirement community, nursing home, adult family home or group home.

Late 2020 my parents needed daily care while we waited to get them into a proper retirement home that suited their needs. During that time Homewell Senior Care sent us a very appropriate young woman who did a fantastic job of caring for them while myself, brother or sister were working.

We hired Home Well to supplement the lack of quality PSW's we were receiving from the government run/paid for - Paramed. Tammy was great to work with and the PSW's that helped my mom near the end of her life were awesome. Compassionate, caring, trustworthy and experienced. We could not have gotten through these last few years, as our parents aged and required increased support and care, without Tammy and her dedicated team. With this support, up until the time of her passing, our Mom was able to remain with our Dad living at the retirement home where they had been residing for many years. Our Dad continued to receive extraordinary care from the HomeWell team until he moved from the retirement home.

We have been using HomeWell Senior Care for two and a half years for care for our Mother.
