I was using a broker before who was dreadful. Only returned phone calls when I'd call the supervisor to complain. I looked around and saw the reviews for Merit and took a chance. So glad I did! My agent (the utterly delightful Edward Rifol) actually picks up his phone whenever I call and responds immediately to emails. They keep in touch and even send a notice when there's bad weather coming to my area. Highly recommend this refreshing, hands-on company.

I have been with Merit Insurance for almost 20 years. My agent is very good at staying in touch and making the changes I have required over the years, quickly. I have had 1 claim when someone hit my parked car {it was good in that he left his info on my car window} The claim was dealt with quickly and repaired by a great auto repair place that they recomended. Everything was done quickly, smoothly, and with great care. As long as I am driving I will remain with Merit Insurance.

We've been cutomers of Merit Ins. Brokers for quite a few years. Cmmercial Policy dealing with broker, Kathleen Magisano.Great Service.
2020 - Didnt know what wsa happening cos of COVID-19 & closures everywhere in the commercial world. Inadvertently made mistakes with our coverage but Kathleen smoothed everything out. Because we lost at least half our business she even went to bat for our company by getting us a lower rate.
2021 - Still happy with her services. Had a problem with client compliance, had no problems getting in touch with her at the 11th hour, WITH lots of back up from her collegues

I've used Merit for many years. They are professionals: understand my needs well, offer appropriate level of coverage as well as options with explanation, great customer service, reasonable prices.
Unfortunately I've had a few claims over the years.
Glad I found Merit because they are miles ahead of 'mainstream' insurance companies. (I had a claim with a direct to consumer sinsurance company once that I'd never deal with again) Merit's advice and support (and excellent claims process) made those tough situations much easier to navigate. Highly recommend them!
