Junior Scholars is an independent early education and care centre. Junior Scholars nurtures and cultivates a caring, comfortable environment, and upholds a community mind-set. Our programs include Infant and Toddler Care, Pre-K Daycare, Junior Kindergarten, Before and After School Care and Out of School Camps.
Each program is individually designed to care for children from 11 months of age up until 10 years old! Junior Scholars has a state-of-the-art kitchen. We provide wholesome and healthy meals and snacks, prepared on-site by our qualified in-house chef.

Services
Our team is carefully chosen and are required to take part in orientation days before they will be considered. Once approved all hired staff are then placed on a three month probation period. Junior Kindergarten and Pre-K daycare supervisors are required to hold a current "Early Childhood Education License to Practice".
The early years of a child's life are a critical time for achieving developmental milestones, during this period a child's brain develops more and faster than at any other period in their lifetime. We respect each other, ourselves, and our surroundings. Everyone's development is different and we take care to work with each child as an individual and encourage them to treat each other the same.
Our centres will be closed on occasion as a result of inclement weather conditions (we follow the School District instructions regarding closures) or power failures. We require parents or the alternate emergency contact to pick up children immediately as we cannot operate safely without heat or light.
The Infant and Toddler care area is a safe space specifically designed for the enjoyment of our youngest charges. It includes a cozy sleep room and age-appropriate toys. Children are encouraged to form bonds with their caregivers so that they feel safe and secure while they are building their social and cognitive skills.
At Junior Scholars, we have a fully-equipped, gourmet kitchen with a talented chef who prepares fresh, healthy, home-style meals and snacks for the children in our full-time programs everyday. Our Infant & Toddler and Pre-K Daycare programs include a morning and afternoon snack, which is always served alongside fresh fruit and our lunches are prepared daily using fresh and nutritious ingredients.

My son has been at Junior Scholars for two and a half years (started when he was 15 months old) and we have had a great experience here. From the classrooms themselves (big with lots of open space) to the educational programming to the many wonderful ECE’s. I recommend this centre to everyone I know looking for childcare. We did have some behavioural challenges and they handled it in a very professional manner with parent/teacher meetings and an appropriate solution. A huge plus is that food is provided.

My son joined them just at the beginning of covid last yr. I'm so happy I made the switch.all the teachers and staff are amazing. My son has learnt so much. Every month there is something new they are learning and hes always so excited to go. He will definitely miss his friends and the special bond he's made with his teachers. I would recommend this place for anyone thinking to put their kids into daycare.

My son has attended Junior Scholars for almost 4 years and has loved it. He has had an amazing relationship with all his teachers and friends throughout the years. Junior Scholars provides a safe, comfortable and fun environment for the kids. I have also loved that they have an in-house chef who cooks a variety of foods which helped with my son’s picky eating. We will miss everyone at Junior Scholars.

My 2 daughters, (now 4 and 7) attended Junior Scholars for the last 3 years. Their experience there has been nothing but amazing. The teachers there truly care about their students, both my girls made such great connections with them which made it that much harder to have to pull them out recently because we moved.
We are so grateful for the time they were able to spend there, it is a great feeling knowing your kids are in good hands while at work.

One of my girls has been with junior scholars since it opened. I have never had an issue that Julie and the teachers couldnt resolve. They have always been so understanding of the needs of my girls. My girls heave learned so much there and they have really contributed in how my girls have turned out. They have contributed greatly in fostering independence, their social development and every aspect of their lives. My girls are very picky eaters and the chef has been amazing and accommodating.
I highly recommend this daycare.

Our child has been at this daycare for a year in the Infant-Toddler program and will be transitioning to the 3-5 program soon. We have been very happy with the care and experience we have had so far. The rooms are always clean and I always see staff cleaning up when I arrive to pick our child up. Our child has learned so much and always has something new to tell us. Playing outside every day has been amazing for him.

Great Childcare centre in Surrey! The staff here is so professional and caring. It has a great working and learning environment. Every staff member, children and families are treated with respect and are supported in every way possible! In addition, the program for every classroom is designed with great amount of attention to suit all the different learning styles. I worked at Junior Scholars and had a great experience. The teachers were like family to me and in the same sense, our kids were like family to us as well. Their cleaning standards are one of the best Ive come across compared to other centres ive worked at. They have a variety of open ended toys, and the manager is easy to talk to about any concerns.
