Dr. Broughton received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Saskatchewan in 1985. During his career, Dr. Broughton has worked with a wide variety of animal species gaining a tremendous amount of experience in the "Art and Science" of veterinary medicine. He has also developed a genuine understanding of what client's expectations are and how to effectively communicate with clients.
As our feline friends get older they are unfortunately affected by many of the same ailments that affect us as we age. Often these conditions progress very slowly and the early symptoms go unnoticed by even the most observant owner. By the time the cat is eventually presented to the veterinary clinic, the disease has often progressed to a much more advanced stage.
I have been told my cat needs to be on a "prescription diet". Is this true or can I feed them a less expensive store brand, especially when the ingredients look identical?. Purring is one of the most special elements of a cat, as far as most humans are concerned. Caressing a purring pet has proven to relax the one doing the stroking and lowers the blood pressure too.

I called Exclusively cats on a Monday to try to make an appointment for my cat , who is having an over grooming problem..
I finally got called back 3 days later. Only to be told that they aren't taking any new patients, I explained that the vet who we had been seeing couldn't figure out why our cat was behaving this way and told the person on the phone what treatment we had already tried, only to be told , we don't give second opinions.
I was hoping that our cat would become a patient there , I didn't just want a second opinion, I want my poor cat to feel and look better.
I was shocked that

I came buy to pick up a prescription for my sister's cat at 2 pm, when I arrived I called as per their covid routine. I get a recording saying that extension is not answering and the mailbox is full. I tried calling again over the next 20 minutes before knocking on the door. That's when I'm informed that they are closed for cleaning. Closed from 2:45-5. When my sister called and PAID for the perception they said they were only closed for lunch at 1-2 pm. The Vet closes for the day at 5. So my sister's cat goes with out her meds that were paid for. This was my first visit to Exclusively Cats (or any vet actually) and I was very happy with my experience! Dr. Broughton was very informative regarding my concerns and questions and didn't think I was crazy when I had notes ready for him! (I felt a little crazy cat lady)
As well Dayna the assistant was very friendly which made it very helpful in calming my nerves to take my girl there. She even recognized my girl is spoiled which she very much is!
Extremely happy I chose them to be her veterinary clinic! I look forward to her future visits! And will be recommending them! :)

I've been going here for a few years now. One of my cats had a very rare condition which meant many visits and a sad ending. Throughout the entire experience the whole staff was great. Dr. Broughton always talks me through everything that's happening no matter the situation. I still bring my other cat here and have yet to have a bad experience. I highly recommend them.

you can tell when a vet is really a cat lover & reads their behaviour. every staff at this clinic is very compassionate, respectful & professional as well!
