Services
All our Veterinarians follow the guidelines set by the Manitoba Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA). The veterinarian-client-patient relationship (VCPR) is the basis for interaction among veterinarians, their clients and their patients. If a Veterinarian has insisted on an examination, it is due to this by-law that must be followed.
Our Veterinarians will see your pet prior to the dental procedure to do a full Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) plan and show you what is needed to maintain your pet's dental care. As well, if any treatment is needed such as extractions, they will show you and explain this as well.
We are very proud of our in-house diagnostic tools that we offer our patients. Here at Alpine Animal Hospital, our goal is to diagnose your pet as quickly as possible so that he or she will feel better soon. We want only the best for our patients, offering state-of-the-art diagnostic tools. We are also constantly learning all about the newest developments in veterinary medicine so that we can help our patients as quickly as possible.
We work hard to keep our pharmacy well stocked with the medications you need so you can pick them up in a timely fashion. Several months ago we had gone into a vets office and were treated poorly and left with no answers and our cat was still puking.We called alpine puking. Immediately were able to get us in.the staff are very friendly and understanding.the dr.treated us like human beings and our pet like a pet instead of a number.he listened and ran the necessary tests to figure out the problem.we highly recommended alpine to any and all looking for good place to take their pets!

I have used this vet office my entire life. We had a horse born to us in 1991. The vet that came out to check over him when he was born was the same vet that put him down 27 years later when his organs went into failure. Our horse was lucky enough to live with one family and have one vet his entire life.
When a seasoned vet cries after humanly euthanizing an animal in their care, you know you found a vet you keep around forever.

Critical: Reliability
Not the most reliable for guinea pigs; the male veterinarian that saw one of my guinea pigs suggested baytril mixed in with water, which deterred her from drinking water whatsoever. The main guinea pig vet is good but the one I had to drive through a snowstorm to get to was very disappointing.

My cats had health problems and I was putting off seeing the vet until I had money. However my cat had an emergency and the other vet was completely booked. They had an appointment open when I got there which was completely surprising. They asked about the health of my previously owned cats. And quickly got my new cats right in to see the vet. They were super sweet with my animals and I truly appreciated their service.

We took our two cats here for the first time this week and for sure, this is their new vet going forward. The older one, Yoda, is a rather difficult cat and I was worried because other vets haven't wanted to touch him because he can be aggressive when strangers try to handle him. The people at Alpine were super patient with my grumpy baby, though. Ultimately, Yoda did have to be sedated, as expected, and they were gentle about it and he was able to get all of his immunizations. It was an overall success and I highly recommend Alpine, especially to pet parents who hope to minimize the stress to
