Barron's Home Appliance Centre was established in 1989 on Gabriola Island by Lisa Barron's parents, George and Sheila Sergeant. Over the years, with the help of Lisa's husband, Keith Barron, their service business, known then as General Services, quickly expanded to include a store-front in Nanaimo in 1998.
The name of the business was changed, and Barron's Home Appliance Centre has continued to proudly serve Central Vancouver from Chemainus to Deep Bay. While the store has continued to grow and now has a team of over 25 people to serve you, our customers still come first, and still enjoy the personal attention that only a family business can provide.

I don't know how their appliances are but I requested a service with them a while back and they do take at minimum a week to get to your place. They charge more than most other companies I have dealt with on the island and the last guy they sent me was very condescending. I try to avoid this company as much as possible. I recently placed a service call in which whirpool sent me to them and they refused to honour the price I was quoted because it was not under warranty. But whirpool knew that and still quoted me the price.

You can't do anything without a dryer during the winter/spring and with a full family's worth of laundry piling up, and reluctantly using g the laundromat I needed a solution. John from Barrons came out on a Saturday on time and had it working on the same day saving us more time from being burnt at the laundromat.

My range broke down suddenly, and over the phone a technician looked up the model, told me the part was no longer available. Saved me a home visit and the money it would have cost.
Barron's has refurbished stock and I bought one over the phone, sight unseen. I'm not fussy, just needing a working stove!
They recommended some delivery people and two days later it's in my kitchen. Looks like it was meant to be here. Great and fast service. Suggested I should come in to view the products but had no problem helping me anyway. Highly recommend. Will call them in future.
