In their very young ages. Cesare and Nina grew up in Ottawa, Canada with very strong Italian influences who moved to Canada from Italy during the second world war, passing on all their traditions. They taught Cesare and Nina the importance of family gatherings; whether large or small each one is special.
Cesare and Nina grew up in the kitchen and loved every second of it. They found that there was something incredible in Italian cuisine. They understood that Italians think of food more than just for its need to provide, but for the way it gathers families, for the way food passes an evening with friends enjoying an apertivo, and then eventually finding your way home for dinner.

All Pizza orders must be phoned & paid ahead of time - only accepting takeout orders for curbside pickup. To place pizza orders our phones lines open at 12:00PM tuesday-SUNDAY (613-422-6462 or 613-220-9325). Raw crushed tomato sauce, roasted red pepper, artichoke, arugula, sundried tomato, mozzarella (make it vegan by ordering without cheese!)

Sooo good! And a fun experience to have a meter long pizza. We had the Tony B and the Tarin-Tino. Both delicious! The whipped ricotta is so soft and creamy. The Tony B had a really nice sausage with a slight garlic flavour. The suppli are crazy delicious. You have to try them! Great place! Hot honey is highly recommended too. And we had tons left even after eating a meter of pizza. Will last a long time.

I had been hearing about Farinella for awhile now (Meter long pizzas? Helloooo!), but the delivery fee was pretty steep and it's further away for me than I would regularly go to pick up food, so the only thing I was ever able to try was the hot honey through Burrow Shop's grocery delivery.
When I spotted a deal for no delivery fee, I thought it had to be a sign. They sell meter long and half meter long pizzas and you can get two different kinds if you order the meter. The delivery menu is much smaller, but we were sure they'd still be great, so we ordered half pepperoni, half margherita

We ordered half Margherita, half Tarin-Tino and half Luciano. Please note you now have to order by phone to pick up later that day. They don't seem to be taking any walk-ins at this time.
We called at 12pm when the phone lines opened and it was pretty busy. Took about 5-6 tries to get through. We ordered our pizza for pick up in the evening. Payment is taken over the phone.
When we got there, the pizza was ready and it was quick to just grab it and go. However, the pizza wasn't really piping hot. Maybe it was done 10 minutes before we had arrived.

Did a post family outing takeout order of pizza, Suppli and cannolis. The order was ready on time and hot was hot, cold was cold.
The Suppli were perfect. Pizza box was impressive and what was inside even more so. Delicious and flavourful. The chilli oil kicked it up a notch for those that wanted a bit of heat.
Service at pickup was excellent.

Love this unique pizza spot! I've tried the pizza at this location and at the Kanata location. So far I've tried the margherita and the sotto casa (Raw crushed tomato sauce, rosemary white wine roasted mushroom, mozzarella, whipped ricotta)
The mushroom pizza was the real star! So delish.
They also sell many different flavours of gelato
This place is super popular and sadly can sell out only a few hours after opening. On the pricier side but very high quality. Perfect meal for a picnic in the park.

We had been waiting to try this restaurant for a while! One of my favourite pizza spots in the city! Came highly recommended and did not disappoint. We called ahead of time and the pizza was ready within 20 mins. Such good ingredients and enough for two people to have two meals from the pizza. We've tried the Salaminto pizza twice and it was excellent! Super excited to go back! They don't open until later in the day is the only downside of this place!

I tried Farinella for the first time this time and I was amazed with the gelato!
I got a cup of pistachio and mango.
Their gelato was the true definition of gelato. Very stretchy and ‘chewy’, and very very delicious.
After finishing the cup, I had to line up again and buy a pint! 😂
I got a pint of cannoli, and they also gave me lots of cones to enjoy it with.
Again, very very delicious!!
I would definitely come again :)

I am so glad I finally got the chance to try Farinella's. It has been a bookmark for a while, and the hubs and I finally just went for it after a long day of cleaning and organizing. We called in for an order Sunday evening, payed over the phone, and drove down shortly after for a quick pickup.
We went with the classic full meter long margherita pizza ($29.00). I did not find the price bad at all, considering local pizza shops charge around the same now for a large pizza.

We have been wanting to try this pizza place in a long time.. but apparently needs a lot of planning ahead they open their phone line at 1 pm and u can pick up 4pm and up! No place to sit so we had to take and eat in the car! Super fresh crunchy and yummy! Even the kids said what awesome pizza place this is! Staff very friendly not to forget!

In contention for the best pizza in Ottawa. I love their metre long boxes and the best part is you can get two kinds of pizza in one box. Their whipped ricotta is absolutely insane. We also love the extras they offer like gelato, pastries, and the “hot chocolate” we got during the holidays! Farinella is always a treat and you should definitely also follow them on Instagram.

One of the best place for authentic Italian pizza. They use quality ingredients and the portions are generous. I will continue to get our weekly pizza and gelato treat from this wonderful locally owned family business, as long as they keep the consistency that they have so far. My wife picked up some pies on the way home from work. When I saw the size of the box, i was surprised. It reminded me of pizza we got a number of years ago, which was called a "family pizza". It was HUGE, and took our family of 4 almost a week to finish it. Not that that's a bad thing........
Flavour was nicely balanced, and satisfying as a whole. 2 pieces left me satisfied.
As a bonus, they have mastered curbside pickup. Call ahead with your order, payment, and pickup time. Arrive at your time slot. They bring it to you. Done!

I have been a few times since they opened, and I would definitely recommend them for their gelato. In the summer, they do gelato by the scoop, whether it's in a cup or cone. In the winter, they do gelato bars and mini cones instead, which I also love. I do find the gelato by scoop is a little bit on the pricier side, more expensive than Stella Luna for less gelato. However, the quality is definitely there. The gelato bars are $5.50 each and the mini gelato cones are $1.25 each. Flavours rotate, both the gelato and the coatings

Pizza there is incredible, always so much variety to choose from, reminded me when I was back in Italy. The pizza dough is so perfectly crunchy and soft. While the toppings are out of this world; potato on pizza? Who would've thought? Came to the friend and family opening and was not let down.

Yes. Great place, unique and an amazing addition to the Ottawa food scene. They serve Roman style pizza by the weight. The crust is phenomenal and full of complex flavors. I have been following Farinella since they opened but haven't had a chance to visit since I am no longer living in Ottawa. I now live in NYC so obviously have a lot of options in terms of pizza --So Farinella rivals them.

As good as it gets. Superb Italian pizza that you buy by the weight. It comes out as long pizza strips with different toppings, you just choose the one you like, show the person the size +- and the will weight it. The plus: You buy as much as you want exactly!. The minus: it is NOT CHEAP but worth it. In weekends and lunchtime, they will make so many pizzas so you will have a variety of extreamly fresh ones. They also have super good ice cream for dessert, their coffee on the other end is so so. Again the only downside for this place is the price.

Farinella, to me, is a new concept in pizza. It's pay-by-weight, which I will be the first to joke "that is trouble right there." I couldn't choose between the pepparoni and proscuitto, so I got some of both. Really flavorful, really filling pizza. Points deducted for serving at room temperature; the wood plank behind glass presentation is very attractive (and necessary, since you literally tell them where to cut your slice off), but a flash in an oven before serving would have been greatly appreciated. Didn't try the gelato today, but the selection looked wonderful so
