Michelin-star level quality (- that's If they awarded them to bakeries!) Lale would certainly get one they're that good. I've been to numerous bakeries throughout the GTA and not one has ever produced the level of taste, using high quality ingredients, and reasonable prices as Lale. I cannot believe there aren't line-ups here on a weekly basis. On top of it, Vlade is so humble and sweet; he is a king at making cakes and pastries and I hope he's in the business for a long time to come. I'm a returning customer, and will be for life. Support local people...and go buy yourself one of the best cakes

Found this place through reviews and ordered the medium Mocha cake for my sister's birthday in October. It was delicious!! The flavour was not super rich but pronouned and the cake was very moist and really pretty with the finishing touches.
My only regret is not getting one for myself, which I will need to make a separate trip for. The prices are very reasonable for a great quality product. Fully recommended!

Lale was recommended to me by a colleague. Their croissants are the best I've tried in the GTHA!!! I also tried a slice of their chocolate cake. I highly recommend this low key bakery!!!
I tried four of their pastries and they tasted great! Not super sweet, very flavourful to what they were: 3 chocolate pastries and an apple one... I asked if they added any sugar and they stated that they do not. All sweetness is from the natural ingredients. I took a glucose reading an hour after each pastry and it only went up 1 mmol...normally it spikes 4-5 points. This verifies there is no added sugar. Plus

This little family bakery and café is a gem on the Lakeshore. Baked goods are delicious.
Delectable chocolate cake, creamy cheesecake. The 'pita' was yummy. We ordered an authentic Black Forest Cake for a special occasion and it was a hit with everyone. They have cookies, macaroons, chocolate covered goodies, tarts and many other items. Did not sit down due to covid protocols. We will be back. Friendly and helpful.
