Services
Lake Nipissing is a multiple species lake with plenty to choose from including: Walleye (Pickerel), Northern Pike, Perch, Small & Largemouth Bass, Muskellunge, Catfish, Sheephead and Panfish. Rent a boat from our fleet or bring your own and enjoy our docking facilities right in front of the cottages.
During July and Aug all bookings are Saturday to Saturday unless we have last minute openings. You do not need a boaters license to rent a boat. We can issue you a temporary license for the duration of your stay at no charge for the first licence and $10 for any extras. Cottages & Boats are expected to be returned to us in the same clean condition as when you arrived.
Nice small resort! This was my second year at WestBay Cottage. Mimi and Jim are great hosts; always looking after your well-being and enquiring how they can assist you. Have been there twice. This is a small place very close to the water. Has 5 or 6 cottages. It is a good location to sit and watch the kids playing in the water.
To reach West Bay Cottages travel north on Hwy 69 to Hwy 64 through to the town of Lavigne, turn right on Poirier Road and just follow the signs leading to West Bay Cottages. An alternate route from Barrie is to continue on Hwy 400 North and take Hwy 11 to North Bay. If you are coming via North Bay, take Hwy 17 West from North Bay to Verner, then South on Hwy 64, turn left on Poirier Road, and just follow the signs leading to West Bay Cottages.

My family just returned from vacation at Westbay cottages. We stayed there from July 3-10, 2021. Eve and Gary were exceptional hosts; friendly, accommodating and very responsive. The cabins were updated and VERY clean. There was a picnic table at each site, a couple of chairs at the fire pit, a small playground and corn hole and ladder ball games for guests to use. The view was beautiful. There is a small “beach” area to allow for access into the lake and a small floating dock for the kids to jump off of while playing in the water. There were also paddle boards and kayaks for the guests

We were staying at a cottage near by and found this resort for a boat rental. The owners are extremely professional and kind. They really value their customers. We rented out the 24ft Monarch Pontoon for the day and had such a great time cruising through Lake Nipissing. Made our experience in West Nippising so much better! We would 100% visit again

We stayed at their two camp sites - although they are very open and next to the parking lot, they are also waterfront. We weren't looking for privacy, just a nice place to stay for a weekend when we were busy in the area. Access to boats & paddle boards for the kids was wonderful for keeping them entertained when we were cooking dinner. Small bathroom & shower for campsites was nice & clean.

My family rented Jim and Mimi's whole establishment. We were quite happy with our decision. Jim and Mimi were wonderful hosts and were there if you required anything. It is a nice place to relax with each cabin already loaded and ready to cook, BBQ, or chill with Netflix. Docking is great and if you don't have a boat the have several watercraft to choose from. I recommend them and would have no problem going back.

Beautiful place to stay for summer vacation. We stayed at this location for a week (July 30, 2016, to Aug 03, 2016). The owner of these cottages Jim and his family were very nice and cooperative. They have lots of activities (Paddle Boarding, Stand Up Paddling, Canoe) which are all included in the cottage rental cost. They also have Sea-doo, Pontoon Boats, Fish Boats, which you can rent for a week or day. They also provide free Wi-Fi. Overall, we had a great experience at this location.

Jim and his wife have done a Amazing and Fantastic job in getting their camp in shape after all the rain and flooding in the area.
They had it ready for our group of 14 for our week long fishing trip. It is the 4th up to their resort and they have gone out if their way to make our week outstanding.
Would would recommend their cottages.
We will be back next year again for our 5th year.
They really deserve a 5 Star Rating.

We camped here for the May 24 weekend and had an amazing time!! We took our (new to us) camper out for the first time and couldn't get the water working properly. The owners gratiously supplied water for us for the whole weekend! They were great hosts and we're working hard to make sure everyone had everything that they needed. We had a great time on the water with the kayaks and surf boards. We will definitely camp here again! We highly recommend this amazing place :)

Can't say enough about this place. First off, the rates were very competitive if not better than every other place we looked at. The cottages were real nice and modern with a comfortable bed for a change.They even treated us to fresh baked bread and butter tarts. Randy would always help us moor our boats if he was near the dock. Fishing was very good too.Three of us frequently go to lake Nippising for an annual fishing trip and I will definitely book here again when the time comes.

We had our annual brothers fishing trip her in late June 2014. We were very happy with our stay here and it turned out to be one of our most enjoyable ever. Randy and Lucille are excellent hosts and we all agreed probably the best of any of our trips in recent years. The cabin was comfortable and it was nice to have some modern amenities like Satellite TV and WiFi. Although we didn't use any of their rental equipment it was all quite modern. Beautiful view from the cottage and good fishing right from the dock. Excellent people and a great place to stay.

We had an awesome time. The property has been upgraded with a play area for the kids, horseshoes, boat/ sea-doo rentals and more! The owners were so warm and welcoming and we even invited them to hang around the camp fire with us!!! Five stars with amazing views! The cottages were clean and modern. Definitely coming back again. Loved it!

My wife and kids went there for the the May long weekend and had a great time. The weather was good and the fishing was great. The cottages are clean and completely updated with new furniture plus they have satellite TV and even wifi (was helpful for the one day of rain) The kids had fun fishing right off the dock and their boats are brand new. There are lots of things to do there. We walked the trails behind the property and also had a couple of fires too. The owners Randy and Lucille were the best.
