Services
Before recorded history, the French River was a trade route for aboriginal inhabitants of this vast landscape. Trading furs, tobacco, flints, dried fish, copper and other essentials of a pre-modern people, they left few traces of their occupancy on the landscape - perhaps a good message for modern day Canadians.
A private world where warm waters, great forests, and pink granite meet in simple elegance, luxury and rustic chic. Romantic private cottages and an exquisite main lodge share a beautiful rugged shoreline. They are joined by a footbridge where, on a clear evening, you can see stars reflecting in the French River.
The main lodge at Pine Cove is a place to relax. The copper topped bar has a, "Here's looking at you kid, " feel to it. Dine in our exceptional restaurant Brl. Lounge in the Harting library, stocked with great literature. Sip afternoon tea, from our extensive tea menu or visit Lodge-shop.com. Arrange your next adventure on the water, with one of our experts.
Seatings will be limited to ensure the safety of our guests & employees. We will be open 3 nights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday) and serve up to 10 persons per evening. BBQ and "at your cottage" dinners in takeout hampers are available seven nights per week for the entire season (May - October).

Recently had Ron Bellan as our fishing guide for the day-he provided us with a guided day of walleye fishing on the French--his shore lunches are legendary and his knowledge of the water and its rich history make for some enthralling stories. The fact that Ron guided us to some excellent walleye fishing made the adventure even better

My partner and I stayed in the Gaboury Lagemodiere cabin back in June and were in absolute awe. The most beautiful, cozy cabin with a direct view of the sunset from its screened in porch. Alex and the head chef went above and beyond by working with my partner to help create a romantic and thoughtfully customized engagement plan to happen during our stay. Alex & his team provided nothing less than superb service and made our getaway absolutely magical. We are so in love with The Lodge at Pine Cove and cant wait to go back.

Spectacular. Serene. Absolutely everything: the gorgeous views, the included kayaks and canoes, the incredibly efficient, warm and friendly hospitality, the delicious complimentary breakfast in a basket left outside our door each morning, the beautiful, thoughtful design, all totally in harmony with the natural surroundings. The attention to every single detail was simply impeccable! The only suggestion we might make? Don’t change a thing!

This is our 4th year in a row staying at the lovely lodge at Pine Cove. My husband and I, and our pup Sydney, had a wonderful time as usual. The hiking and canoeing is great. The cabins, food and service are top notch. Special mention to staff member, Jocelyne, who was super friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to return!

My husband and I stayed last week at the HBC and it was an absolutely amazing cabin. The decor is perfect and the view is unbelievable! The weather was less than seasonal so the wood stove was brought into action and didn't disappoint. The breakfast hamper was a very nice touch as was the loose leaf teas! Alex and his entire staff were so very friendly and professional. I was so very impressed with how well they handled the COVID restrictions and how they adapted their services but still kept it easy and relaxing. Although this was our first visit, we have already booked 2 more visits for this

We had an amazing stay at the lodge. Such beautiful and well kept cottages. I was shocked by how clean and well maintained these cottages are.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. Feels like they are truly all working together to make the lodge the best it can be. And in result it made our trip one we'll never forget.
Can't wait to visit again and enjoy those amazing views again

Heaven on Earth. Canadiana Luxury.
The staff were amazing and the tour of French River by Alexander was Pulitzer Prize worthy.... not to mention the dreamy vista, loon lullabies and beautiful water colour paintings in the Dokis Cabin.
Put this destination on your bucket list, the ground will shift under you. Lightening strikes more than once here.

Spent five days here the food was like no where else my hat off to the chef and to the whole staff they were awesome , and my thanks to Alex and his wife for having this piece of paradise at the access of whom ever wants to experience this heaven on earth of wilderness , we are definitely coming back and making it an annual trip thank you again
