Routine eye examinations for adults and seniors are a huge component to preventative eye care. Contrary to what most people may think, a comprehensive eye exam is more than just providing a prescription for glasses and contact lenses. Your optometrist is looking for any signs of ocular disease that could potentially negatively influence a person's quality of vision - immediately or years down the road.
Vision development continues well beyond birth in children and is certainly important to ensure success in early learning with developmental milestones and learning in school. According to the Alberta Association of Optometrists, the first eye examination should be between 6 and 9 months, then every year from the age of 2 - 18 years.
Laser refractive surgery for vision correction can be a good option for the right candidate. For patients looking for freedom from glasses and/or contact lenses, our testing does help determine a preliminary assessment of whether a patient is a candidate. If it is deemed as such, your optometrist is able to refer you directly to a surgical center or you do have the option to call directly based on your availability and schedule.
Did you know that your optometrist should be the first person you see with any vision or eye related emergencies?. We can usually see you a lot sooner than the emergency room or MediCentre and have the necessary instruments to accurately diagnose the emergency. In addition to diagnosing the emergency, your optometrist will be able to make prompt referrals to an ophthalmologist.
At Precision Eye Care, we are proud to be an EyeSafeTM clinic and provider for our patients working in hazardous work environments. Living in "oil country" and having a large industrial sector, we understand the necessity of safety eyewear in the workplace.

Today was my first visit. The staff were excellent from the front desk to the exam rooms. Everyone were professional and yet personable. The rooms were clean and equipment was sanitized before it was used on us. Dr. Ngo answered my questions completely. I ordered glasses and Optician lady
" Karen" was also so professional and very freindly . She helped me find the best eye glasses to fit better on my face and explained what my insurance covered . So far very satisfied with the excellent care provided.

I have been coming here for 10 years for all of my optical needs (and trust me I have many of them). I have football shaped eyes, a non-existent nose bridge, and an odd shaped face where one side of my cheek stick out more than the other. I have also almost broken every pair of glasses I have bought (completely due to my own fault) but they have never hesitated to provide assistance in any way possible. Despite all this they are always able to make it something work out and cater to my needs.

I don’t have words to write review, Dr Chai is God for me , she is professional, knowledgeable and kind human being . I was suffering from secondary glaucoma with Dense cataract. Last one and half year was stressful, painful for me. Due to Dr Chai , I got new birth , I can live my life with normal looking eyes . she support me when I was fed up from ordinary ways of treatment and was in deep pain . Salute to her . Keep it up 👍. Thank you Very much . 🙂

Had an appointment today for a recurrent eye infection. I believe my optometrists name was Dr. Chai, she was amazing. I have been to appointments before and they just tell me I have an eye infection and give me a prescription. Today, she took pictures of my eye and explained everything to me about what was happening. Hopefully I finally have the solution to my problem. I liked the education portion of my visit. Highly recommend this clinic!!!

I highly recommend Precision Eye Care to anyone who needs an eye exam or a new pair of glasses! Dr. Ngo is very kind and does a fantastic job, she explained every aspect of the exam to me so I understood the condition of my eyes. The Opticians were very helpful and patient while helping me pick out the right pair of glasses and I can’t thank them enough

I am so proud to call myself a patient of this office - they are always friendly and helpful. I love getting an automated response to confirm/remind me of my appointment. The staff seem to always be on time, they provide amazing customer service, they are thorough and knowledgeable. I am also impressed by the cool technology they have. I don't know what it is but it is neat to see my eye ball up close...so much more than just a puff of air being blown into my eye. Another bonus is they direct bill my insurance company. They are also open evenings and weekends. You can't go wrong.
