Services
Whether you ride once a week, 265 bike-friendly days a year, or year-round, Bike Edmonton gives you the tools you need to enjoy cycling. Established as the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters Society in 1980 and now known as Bike Edmonton, we operate two volunteer-run community bike workshops, provide cycling education for people of all ages, host events with community partners year-round, and represent you at City Hall.
In 1980, a group of like-minded, bicycle-commuting enthusiasts decided it was time to band together to encourage and help more people to get around Edmonton by bicycle. In August of that year, Bike Edmonton (then called Edmonton Bicycle Commuters Society, or EBC, and renamed in 2019) was officially born!
But we need to invest in the tools and space to create the best environment for that to happen. Any donations go a long way: $10 helps us upgrade the memory on our Point of Sales system. Or $50 covers half the cost of a refurbished bike through our access programming, where we provide services to those who can't otherwise afford them.
Established as a non-profit society in 1980, we operate two volunteer-run community bike workshops, provide cycling education for people of all ages, host events with community partners year-round, and represent you at City Hall. We work to make cycling accessible for everyone because we believe that an Edmonton where anyone can choose to cycle is an Edmonton that's better for all.
The Board of Directors consists of 12 individual who are elected by the Bike Edmonton membership at the Annual General Meeting. The board members are volunteers who govern the affairs of Bike Edmonton according to our bylaws. The board meets at least once a month at regular board meetings and at other times as needed.

Great place to take a bike for repair. I first booked a free parts consultation. After figuring out what I needed, I booked a service appointment. I was able to give my old bike new life. All the people I dealt with were amazing. I will be back for upgrades and repairs to my bike. Thank you to all staff and volunteers.

Brought my bike yesterday with a frequent clicking sound. Booked a appointment which was very easy and got a great customer service experience fixing the problem and doing some well needed maintenance. Vaughn provided a very friendly and professional customer experience. My bike now feels as good as new. I will definitively be back. Thank you

These people care about bikes, and their enthusiasm for passed down to me after they repaired and tuned up my bike! The individuals that helped with my bike went above and beyond; I was going to get a bike tire fix but I ended up getting new tread, affordable bell, and advice on biking maintenance. Definently recommend going here for a used bike (at their South location) or repair/tuneup your current bike. They will surely reinvigorate your relationship with your bike!!

Well thanks to Bike Edmonton, my used bike is now in top working order. Due to COVID restrictions, I had a personal repair appointment. What an amazing experience! First, the very knowledge volunteer working on my bike did an thorough assessment of what needed to be done.I thought the bike needed new brakes but turns out with an adjustment they were just fine! In all, I booked a half an hour appointment but they spent 45 minutes with me, by the time I paid for the parts I needed etc. The volunteer went above and beyond by adjusting the handle bars to better suit me (and for better safer riding

Two Bikeworks locations for your nearest convenience. Passionate staff who can identify and analyze layers of mechanic know-how across some sixty years of cycling standards and trends. Have some idea of what you need, however, and things will go more smoothly. The best way to learn more is to lend some volunteer time of your own and continue to enrich Edmonton's burgeoning practical cycling culture!
