Dr. Shupe, a graduate of the University of Alberta, practiced general dentistry for 12 years prior to his specialty training in Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial Prosthetics and Dental Oncology at Louisiana State University and the University of Texas.He served as Associate Professor on the UBC Faculty of Dentistry for two years before moving to Kelowna in 1986.

In 2013, I had seven implants upon which, Dr. Shupe 'placed' a full set of upper teeth and a partial set of lower teeth, together with crowns on some existing teeth. This was major restoration work as far as I am concerned. It is now July 2016, nearly 3 years since the work was completed. During this period, I have had no concerns whatsoever. The teeth are as good as when Dr. Shupe first did the work and there has been no problem at all. There was some slight discomfort when the implants were placed, but no pain. There was no real discomfort/pain during the procedures carried out. My teeth still
