We believe in creating an environment that allows the child to explore their world, grow and learn through play. Boulton Avenue Child Care Centre is a not-for-profit organization that provides quality daycare to families in the diverse Riverdale community. With five bright and cheerful program rooms, a kitchen, and a unique and secure roof-top playground, the Centre provides well-rounded programs for children.
Our Infant, Toddler and Pre-School programs include indoor and outdoor play, nutritious snacks and lunch and a stimulating environment to learn. We also offer "before and after care" for School Age children. Our staff encourages learning by promoting a sense of belonging, well-being and providing opportunities for engagement and expression.

Services
The goals of the Centre are simple: to operate a safe, nurturing and welcoming place where children have every opportunity to learn and grow. As a not-for-profit organization, we strive to provide affordable daycare to families in the Riverdale community. In operation since the early 1980s, Boulton Avenue Child Care Centre gets its name from the original location on Boulton Avenue.
Both caring and creative, our dedicated staff is experienced in working with infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and school-aged children. Each program has qualified Early Childhood Educators and Early Childhood Assistants to provide a safe and structured learning environment. Staff love to learn, and attend professional development workshops to be inspired and improve programming.
The Infant program includes a variety of activities and experiences planned with the individual child's needs, strengths and interests in mind. Your child will learn, grow and develop through activities that foster his/her social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Examples of activities include finger painting, playing with texture boards, and taking walks.
Activities and experiences are planned to cater to individual children's needs, strengths and interests. Children will learn, grow and develop through activities that foster his/her social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Each day has a special focus, such as dancing, baking, kicking a ball or counting.
The Pre-School program is designed to encourage your child to laugh, learn, and explore. With a ratio of 2 instructors to 16 children aged 2.5 to 4.5 years old, the room is supervised by at least two staff at all times: one R.E.C.E. and one E.C.A. Children in the program work to develop: self help skills; basic numbers, colours and alphabet; potty training; fine and gross motor skills; and manners (with a strong focus on sharing with friends).

My eldest daughter attended for 3 years and it was her second home and family, and my youngest is now attending this daycare. I feel confident in the daycare team who have been together for many, many years and the Director June, who are very responsive to any needs. Fees are also reasonable at this not for profit facility.
