Leonard went on to complete his Law Degree from the University of British Columbia Law School in 1979 and then to article with the memorable Nanaimo firm of Strongiharm Currie and Company.In addition to his law practice, Leonard serves the public as a Member of Legislative Assembly for Nanaimo. Leonard's political advocacy dates back to his youth, and he was first elected as a Member of the Legislature in 1991.
