Eric Seaman received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Guelph in 2005 and received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Ontario in 2008. During Law School he worked with Community Legal Services and took a number of courses focusing on Criminal and Constitutional law. Immediately after becoming a licensed lawyer he became a member of The Behr Law Firm and has practiced exclusively in Criminal law and quasi Criminal law.
What happens in my First Appearance at Court? This is not a trial date. At this stage, the initial disclosure (the evidence that the Crown Attorney intends to rely on),s hould be provided and the Court will confirm whether or not you have a lawyer or will be seeking one. The case will be adjourned from there to provide an opportunity to retain counsel and review the disclosure.
