This is a very trustworthy and efficient car repair centre. I have always been very pleased with the service. The team and Jordy are great and the location is perfect. I commend them for their business model as it reminds me of the services we used to enjoy years ago! The best customer service in town!

I'm not sure if you would like my comments about your garage on Google, as this definitely was the worst service I have ever had in 50 years owning a car. I would give you a -5 star rating out of 5.
Moving from Ontario, and needing to pass a provincial inspection, I thought this would be the cost of the inspection(wrong), about $3000 later, the biggest ripoff ever for owning a mint conditioned classic car.
I had my car inspected before I left Ontario with Dasilva racing, known all over Canada for their work on Mustangs, just had 4 new tires put on and a full check up before shipping the car by

I noticed that this shop responds to almost every review, so I'm going to stick to the facts, as they like to say. I brought my 2005 Honda Civic in for tire rotation/oil change and an inspection to diagnose overheating.
I was charged:
Maintenance service package which included oil change, oil filter, and a 40-point inspection $60
Tire rotation $50
Diagnosing the overheating, and shop supplies, etc. $155
TOTAL for planned maintenance = $265 + TAX
They ended up quoting me the following for the critical items they found during inspection:
- Replace radiator (had a leak), water valve, thermostat

Today I came in this morning with my Lexus with a low tire light shown.
The fabulous , friendly fellow at the front desk just said go drive your car by the second bay stay in the car and stay warm and we can fill the air up.
The technician was so friendly and so quick and I just wanted to extend my thank you for always being there with great service with a smile.
Most appreciated.

Dishonest work mongers attempting to swindle my wife by telling her 'the main belt' - serpentine belt - needs replacement or the vehicle will be will break down. Total BS. That belt was changed less than 12 months prior 15000km with OEM parts and a second mechanic independent of this shop saw no signs of wear or need for replacement and reenforced my feelings that they were trying to take advantage of an unknowing female with money. They urged her to bring the vehicle of a full inspection likely to push more false repairs. Classic shady mechanic move. No complaints on workmanship but

Positive: Professionalism, Quality
Excellent work and service. The team is always friendly regardless of talking to them in person or on the phone. Quotes have always been accurate for me. Have been taking my 2014 Rav4 there for about a year now for oil changes. They have also done breaks and other scheduled maintenance.

Coming from a family of mechanics who have owned our own business back in Ontario, I can confidently say that the team at Southwest Auto hold alot of the same high values and expertise I have came to know growing up.
The team is very upfront about what work needs to be done and how it can be prioritized based on safety. The communicate very well on the work needed and give accurate quotes.
I have been going to them for over a year and they have always done great work on my vehicle. I would recommend them to any of my friends.

In my personal experience, Southwest Auto Service (SWAS) demonstrated a failure to perform a thorough and quality controlled out of province (OoP) vehicle inspection (VI) to meet the Government of Alberta (GoA) requirements. SWAS's findings were incorrect (a) identifying a repair that was not required and demonstrating no due diligence in the client's perspective that the failure was adequately verified with GoA, as well as (b) missing two OoP-VI parameter failures.
I do not recommend taking your vehicle to SWSA for an OoP-VI. I am out $159 plus tax for SWSA's non-refunded VI.

Went for out of province inspection and was told it would be $160 all in and they would call if anything changed. I was told it was going to be a 2 hour appt so I dropped it off at 8 am. It was 10:30 and no phone call, so I called them and they said they needed to do a wheel alignment (which I had done about a month ago but didn't have the paperwork for "proof") so it definitely didn't need to be done. He held the passing of inspection over my head so I had no choice but to agree with the alignment even though I know for a fact I didn't need one. Just very annoyed at the

First, be sure to check the 'Not currently recommended' section of reviews. For whatever reason, most of the positive reviewers didn't 'star' their review so they didn't get in.
Second, a lot of the reviews here are based on a lot of bad knowledge or 'this guy said'. Someone complained here that their car needed work and it 'only had 42000 km on it'. That's just silly.
I have taken a bunch of cars here over the last decade at least, going back to when they were a Certiguard.
On the plus side: They do high-quality work and stick to their

I sent my friend here to get an out of province inspection done on her car. After the inspection the claimed she needed rotors, calipers, brake pads, a new belt and left hand sway bar link as well as a indicator light. They quoted over 1400$ to fix it. Thinking this was ridiculous I then took the car to another shop that would scam. Turns out the only thing needed replacement was the rear rotors and pads. However there were no signs that the brakes had been removed to be inspected at the previous inspection 3 days earlier. So in conclusion they saw a young girl claimed she needed a bunch of stuff

I was very pleased with the service here. I walked in alone (young, blonde, female) needing to get my taillights fixed. I knew exactly how much it should cost and he quoted me less. They took my car in on the spot and it was ready less than 2 hrs later and not a dollar more then what was quoted to me.
It was only minor work, but I liked that they were honest and treated me with respect. Great location too. I'd go back again for sure.

It's a shame that this place is still in business. I took my 2002 BMW 325i into the shop for an inspection and a few minor repairs- a power steering pump and brakes. Once the work was completed, I went to pick up my car and much to my dismay, they had blown a fuse in my dashboard leaving me with no signal lights, no speedometer and no tachometer. I promptly returned the car and they fixed it right away. Later that evening I looked through the work order that they neither had me sign nor confirm and noticed extra charges for services that I did not need or request. To ease my mind I opened

After taking my vehicle to another shop down the road from Southwest Auto for a brake inspection, I narrowly avoided a serious multi-vehicle accident when my brakes failed at 1am on a very cold December night. According to Kevin, the owner, the cause of the brake failure could have been spotted months earlier with the proper inspection. Kevin and his team took my vehicle in right away and had me back on the road by that afternoon. They were straightforward, honest and didn't talk down to me as I've found with some other mechanic shops. I've definitely found my go-to auto shop in

Went there for an out of province inspection and is way ripped off. They charged me $110 to remove window tint on two windows. I was told even Midas is $40 cheaper. I apparently needed a wheel alignment, new wheel bearing, new tires and a serpentine belt on a car with only 42,000 km on it. DON'T GO THERE!
