Since 1989, Sunridge Veterinary Clinic has provided compassionate care for pets throughout Vernon, offering a wide range of preventive services to look after the complete health and dietary needs of your pet for life. Our veterinarian, animal health technologists and support team are dedicated to your pet's happiness and wellbeing.
As a small, locally owned and family-run clinic, we take the time to get to know our clients and furry patients personally. This allows us to provide individualized treatments for each pet, including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters. We believe nutritional consultations and a proper diet are the most important things an owner can do for their pets.

Services
I grew up in the Edmonton area and graduated from Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1992. I practiced in Alberta for nine years and then moved to Vernon in 2001. We love the Okanagan and aim to provide quality, compassionate veterinary care for your four-legged family members. Most of my work is done behind the scenes in the back office.
An optimised diet for your pet results in an adequate nutritional intake for your pet. This adds to its healthy life and prevents sickness. The food itself should be optimized based on their age. Our veterinary prescription diet contains protein, vitamin and mineral levels as per the breed, age, weight and any pre-existing medical conditions.
Animals age more rapidly than humans, which is why routine checkups are important. It promotes a long healthy life as they age with time. It helps to vaccinate them on time and provides an opportunity to detect any subtle change in overall physical health.
It's hard to understand how your pet is feeling when they are under the weather; some signs or symptoms may indicate if something is wrong, such as increased aggression, excessive drinking, coughing, hiding and lethargy.A regular pet health check in Vernon will do wonders for your four-legged friend!

Terrible place came in to ask receptionist if she knew of any rescue places in Vernon as I am new here. She shrugged her shoulders and didnt even care. Asked her if she knew of any places that had dogs in the area to adopt once again shrugged her shoulders. Did not help at all. I thought a Vet clinic would be more than happy to point people in the right direction for people giving animals forever homes. very unprofessional and uncaring. Not at all caring I guess for rescue dogs

I have recently meaning the last six months changed vets mostly due to cost, and not connecting with the changes within my previous clinic. I chose sunridge because of there cost to neuter one of my cats. The lady on the phone nice , friendly and informative. i was impressed on how much lower they were on neutering compared to others i called around Vernon and area.

NOT is right.....we used to go to Vernon Vet on Kalamalka Road, but changed when we moved and got gift certificates for Sunridge. As many times as we went to Sunridge, and as many hundreds of dollars that we spent there, they never recognized us when we went in. This isn't a big town. Anyhoo, the doc is great. The front desk matron, however, needs to find another line of work. Describing her as rude would be a compliment. The doc said that we aren't the first client to mention it, either. We will drive the extra distance, and are going back to Vernon Vet. Great docs AND great people!
