Waxing is hair removal from the root. New hair will not grow back in the previously waxed area for four to six weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth in only a week due to some of their hair being on a different human hair growth cycle. I've been going to petals for about 8 years now for the same service. This is the only place that you'll ever see me get a brazilian wax. I've tried two other places but nobody is as good as Linda. She gets all the hairs and even takes care of the ingrowns. She's great to have conversations with and she remembers everything about you. The staff in general are super friendly. Their services are very affordable. Highly recommend!

I have been to this salon now twice for the same service. The first time I went I was schedule for 1030am and when I arrived at 1026am the doors were locked but I know I was early. So I waited outside cause the sign said opens at 1030. Que 1040am and the owner walks across the street. At first I was annoyed cause she knew I had a 1030 apt but my experience inside was great. I was treated super well.
Second apt was fantastic. The shop is very small but it is a perfect size to make you feel comfortable and looked after. Prices are avg for Toronto. I am coming here because of a WagJag deal but now

UPDATE #2:
I will NEVER return to this salon. I got a call today (April 25, 2019 @ 2:57pm) from one of the employees (not the kind owner I spoke about before) threatening me to tell her my credit card number over the phone to pay a $10 fee for my missed appointment.
First of all, I made the appointment for Friday at 1:30, not Thursday at 1:30.
Second, I called this morning at 10:18am and spoke to a gentleman (the second owner) to cancel my appointment for tomorrow.
Third, if I was "due" for my appointment at 1:30, wouldn't a business usually call the client within 30 mins

If you ever consider buying their promotion through Groupon or otherwise, think twice before you purchase. They don't deliver the service as described in their description in the Groupon, for example, i-lipo treatment. they only give you 10 mins as opposed to 20 mins. When I asked them about it, they blamed it on Groupon for misprint error. When I approached Groupon. This is what I was told, "Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services." Stay far away from these people. I will never go back to these people. Save

I got lashes done by Soo at Petals. She was warming inviting and helped me pick the colours. Everyone so far loves my coloured lashes and somehow think they look natural. I Love that my eyes are vibrant and I don't need to apply any make up as the colouring adds enough drama for eyeshadow and mascara. I have had lashes before and these are my favourite ! The down side was that I was uncomfy in the original chair, but I let them know and they accommodated me and the rest of my procedure was done on a bed.

Had one amazing experience. Went back and had a dreadful experience. Told that service was different because it was a different person doing it. Absolutely ridiculous to not have consistency in the quality of customer service and the type of service provided. Manicure was super rushed, no soaking, no scrub, and the layers aren't done well at all - looks like a slap-dash job that I could have done myself - and looks like week-old grow-out despite being fresh. Pinky had to be redone and was done in a different colour, not noticeable until out in the light. Not what I expect and won't be

I went in for a pedicure last week.
Pros - customer service was really good, they accommodated my appointment the same day, and the pedicure was very well done.
Cons - I found the lounge chair that they do the pedicure on quite uncomfortable - would have preferred a standard straight-back chair. If they made the chairs more comfortable I would definitely go back.

Got a manicure - very well done. The lady was quick and did my cuticles perfectly. She didn't use water, which is not good (as I found out recently through an aesthetician). I also did eyelash tinting. Personally, it was a bit stingy, the results okay (but my lashes are small, in general). It was quite pricey - I paid a total of $80 (shellac manicure w/ takeoff​ and eyelash tinting).

Petals has become my go to place for pedicures.
I like their set up because it's not like a typical salon with the massage chair and questionable tools (have they been cleaned before you got there? always hard to tell).
The lady here who does pedicures is always really sweet and gets the job done quickly.
I appreciate the cleanliness and level of care she puts into my pedicure.
You lie down on a bed and she give you a typical pedicure with a foot massage.
They don't have dryers, so always bring sandals!
I made the mistake once of not bringing a pair and my pedicure was ruined by the time

I have been coming here for years, and I can't believe I have not reviewed it yet! I generally visit Petals for shellac manicures. I did once get a pedicure, but sadly, I put my shoes on when we thought the nail polish was dry, and when I got home it had all stuck to my shoes! So I had to give myself my own pedicure. But it was no their fault - I was in a rush, and did not wear open-toe shoes.
Paula does all my manicures, and she is fantastic! She is meticulous, and such a lovely person to chat with. I always go in just for the shellac polish (not a full manicure), and it's only $20

I purchased an I-lipo deal from Living Social for Petals. Not sure how successful the procedure is yet however, this couple that runs this place is so ridiculously nice.
The two times I've been, I've walked in and someone has always been getting a pedi and you can just tell how comfortable individuals are when they come here by the way they openly discuss their life. I love it!
Also, if you go on their websites, they have some amazing deals and provide a good amount of services.

Having battled to get rid of unwanted hairs for quite a while, I decided to give electrolysis a try. I started the treatment at Bay Street Clinic (Advanced Institute of Electrolysis) and realized that after doing 4 sessions, once every week, I was seeing no results. I was just wasting my time and money. In fact, this was because the lady was actually tweezing the hairs more than she was actually applying the heat from the electrolysis machine.

Went in for eyelash extensions last Sunday. Currently have about 3 single lashes left on my right eye & the lefts looking pretty sparse. Was unhappy with the shape of them as soon as she finished, the left looking a little bit weird.. Lashes were placed in a way that they looked to be overly directed out?? She assured me to let them set and take form, saying the look would change... Stayed looking pretty funky. Lol.

I am SO thankful to have found Paula at Petals!
A girlfriend raved about her shellac manicure from Paula. I was skeptical because I've had shellac in the past and it left my nails very thin and fragile, but I am a massage therapist and shellac is the only way to go if I want to wear polish because I wash my hands so often. Suffice to say I've been coming back every week for months!
My nails are completely normal and strong, the price is great, but most importantly the CND polish lasts and lasts and stay shiny!! If it gets a bit dull, just wipe it down with alcohol and it sparkles

I'm a regular at Petals and Paula is amazing for Brazilians! She has great technique and is always very friendly. She does not double dip, takes her time, and always stops or tells you how to help make it less painful (I have very low tolerance).
I've seen Linda once when Paula wasn't available and Paula is much much better in technique. I'll only go now on days that she works. 5 stars!

The most thorough Brazilian waxing job I've seen in the GTA. They really take their time, and won't rush you, stopping when it gets too painful. Also, no double dipping! I'm a fan!
The store is tucked away a little north of Bloor, and is quite cozy inside. The owner sits at the front with her appointment book, and is very friendly.
They have $34 mani/pedi specials on Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'll be sure to give that a shot when I'm back in the area!
