The approximate wait times for our physician consult services are now available to share! Your individual wait for your RebalanceMD specialist, or condition to be treated, may be more or less than estimated.
A reminder that all orthopaedic surgery referrals require an attached x-ray report in order for the referral to be triaged. Referrals are triaged every three to seven days. Urgent orthopaedic surgery referrals should continue to be directed to the on-call surgeon/clinician through the hospital switchboard at 250.370.8699.

I wish to commend Rebalance MD, in particular my surgeon Dr. Duncan Jacks and navigator Paula Sanglap-Bono, for their excellent care during my one-year wait for total hip replacement surgery. Both of these people expressed sympathy that my operation was postponed as a result of surgery cancellations in October and a long waitlist. Dr. Jacks deserves praise for introducing a new protocol called VERA (Victoria Enhanced Recovery Arthroplasty) that speeds up the recovery process and minimizes pain. Very efficient and docs who appear on time. Xray techs who are happy to be at work, and get you in and out ASAP. From arrival to departure, was admitted, received xrays & saw specialist all withing 30 minutes. Convenient parking out front. I just wish you could come here BEFORE you had to sit in ER for 5 hours to get a referral! 5 Star all the way. You will feel like your a millionaire in the US, but it's free here in BC!

We have had nothing but good experiences at RebalanceMD. We have found the staff to be overly accommodating, polite and helpful. We have never waited more then 10 minutes for our appointment. Dr. Weatherhead is great to deal with and very knowledgeable. We also like it as there is good parking and access for a wheelchair.

Above and beyond measure, my physiotherapist, Cory Taves, expertly navigated a rehabilitative program for me that afforded both a cautious therapy and a sensible time frame to heal most effectively. Taking into consideration my responsibilities at home and at work, a customized plan was put in place. Optimal recovery is Rebalance MD's motivating mission, and they succeed with flying colours! I have been fortunate enough to have awesome experiences with Cory Taves as my physiotherapist. I went to see him for after injury care for over two years and he is instrumental in my recovery. Cory not only assisted my physical recovery, he was a solid phycological support base.
While my care was awesome - Rebalance needs to book fewer patients at a time. Its often too busy in there.

I am very happy with the service I have received from Rebalance. I was put on their knee replacement list back in April and they have been amazing with communication via email and telephone. My Navigator Giselle returned every call and email promptly. Dr Burnett did my knee replacement in September 2021 and again fantastic follow up in all areas from the whole team! I did Post op PT then moved over to the private side of PT’s where I see Eric Lowe he takes the time to listen and is always encouraging. Is Rebalance busy? Of course it’s a multi medical office it should be. I have never felt rushed

I'd give zero stars if I could. The staff and one doctor I saw were friendly enough, however, nothing else was positive about the experience. First, they did a redundant test that I had already had done; of course the results were the same. Zero questions about my history. Zero questions about previous treatments. I have a well documented injury to my lower back. I've had spinal injections and my neurologist also considered surgery. Dr. Berger told me "the body heals itself". Apparently I'm healed after more than a year and a half of pain. He also told me he thinks the problem may be my hips!!

Similar experience to everyone else looking at the other reviews. Dr. Jacks has been great. The staff has not.
I generally get the feel that the staff is being asked to do more than they can handle. Whether this is because of workload or ability, I couldn't say. Trying to get information out of them is like pulling teeth. When I said I wanted to get the hardware taken out from my first surgery, I was told I needed an X-ray. When I came back with the X-ray, I was told I needed a GP referral. When I came back with my referral, I was told my X-ray might not be recent enough. I stopped the cycle there

I waited 2 years to get into this clinic under a doctors referral, the doctor just kept on talking and would not allow me to express how bad the pain is and how debilitating it is. I can barely walk two blocks. She suggested a pain clinic in the hospital to teach me how to deal with my pain, BUT not until my mental health improves, but my pain is a huge part of my mental health. Total waste of time, now in more pain after exam and mental health.... well I'm so low I just don't know what to do next. Thanks for nothing! I was so excited to finally be getting in to see a physiotherapist after waiting so long and was quickly made aware that this was not going to be help I was so hopeful for. I saw Dr. Galimova and I have never in my life encountered such a rude, unprofessional, uncaring medical professional in my life.
