They sent my brother's cat home with a dangerous amount of medication for a one year old cat. My brother paid them over $3,000 and it seems like they really don't care and they take the funds! Thank God we were smart enough to question his medication, especially the 5kg amount they had given for one of his pills... Thank God they are on it and double checking everything... The horror story goes on but I will leave it at that.
I'll add, The review from a few days ago from the man who had the 14-year-old dog was also extremely scary! Cannot believe the vet put the dog at risk because he was called

My sister recently put her pet down and Beatties was the only place I could go at this time of need as our vet wasn't available.
From the time he was brought in to putting him down was a very heartless and disgusting experience.
I paid for the bill as my sister had lost another dog the week prior to old age. All that was provided was a debit slip. No detailed bill no nothing.
She was in a state and just paid. When I got home and saw the receipt I almost died at the bill.
I was over charged almost $500 and when I confronted them about it the staff said well I have to check with a manager. I

My family and I have been bringing our beautiful flame tipped Ragdoll Kitty here for years now. We visit frequently as our kitty is long haired and will often matt causing issues for her. Her lion cuts are done very nicely and always make her so adorable!
My family and I are very satisfied with Beattie's and always recommend them to other pet owners. The prices are great and services fantastic. The vet's, groomers, and other service providers here are very kind and explain the services as well as options for the needs of our kitty in detail. We never feel that anything unrequired is being pushed

My kitten got spayed a week ago and an infection began. as soon as i noticed i started calling around to emergency vets. they were the only vet that would take her on such short notice. i called at 5 pm and got her for an appointment the next day at 11am. they were quick, very helpful and polite while answering all the questions i had. amazing service. i’ll definitely recommend this animal hospital to friends and family if need be!

This is the worst and most disappointing pet clinic to take your pet! I took my dog there and was cheated out of money there. They put a lotion in my dogs ear massaged it in for 30 seconds and then charged me $45. Everything there is misleading and overpriced. They prescribe inappropriate and dangerous medication for your pet and then say it's the best for the pet!
When I wanted to talk to a manager, the front desk girl got irritated and angry with me and said that if I want to say something, tell her and she will get it to a manager. She said that's the only way for me to communicate with management

I have been going to Beattie's animal hospital for years. Staff was friendly and vets were fine. Until this week. I called Wednesday because my dog was really sick. Abnormally so. I have had labs for 40 years so I know when something isn't right. They said they were fully booked and to try chicken. Then they said to try one of their other clinics if i still needed to bring him in. All these other clinics are 1/2 an hour away. I called back and said my dog needs to come in. Again they could not accommodate him. But they could take him on Monday. So from Wednesday to Monday. I decided

Previously my visits at Beattie's have been fine. My cat is a usual patient at the Ancaster location. They tell you if you have an emergency that the Stoney Creek location is available 24/7. I have used this service in the past and while not my most favourite visit to the vet, it went fine. My cat had a urinary blockage and stayed there for a few days and was fine.
However, yesterday my cat showed early signs of another urinary blockage which I acted quickly on. I called the Stoney Creek location and told them how much pain my cat was in and they told me they were unfortunately super full at the

This is referring to the Stoney Creek Beatties (located on upper centennial) Hamilton ON. I had an appointment with my dog last week to get all his shots, and his ears cleaned. I received a call from them today that they forgot to give him his shots. My dog was in the vets office for 2 hours and all they did was clean his ears. I paid for the shots, they just never gave him any, so now I have to go back and get them all done. Good thing I never brought him to the dog park. So disappointing.

My wee fur baby was having constipation issues over the weekend. None of the emergency clinics I called could see him or had a wait of 8+ hours. I got in within 5 hrs of calling the Beattie Stoney Creek clinic. They were friendly and gave me several treatment options at different price points. Super happy with my experience. All the staff were great. Thank you!

The Stoney Creek location nearly killed my son's dog. Did not read the xray correctly and sent him home - with 22 stones in his bladder. They called the next day to say bring the dog back in, the person who read the xrays did not read them correctly. Not sure what they thought all of the little spots were, but they did not think they were important.
What kind of vet hospital hires this type of incompetent person??? One that is more interested in the $$$ than the health of their clients.
You can put in a complaint against them here: https://cvo.org/Veterinary-Professionals/Investigations

It's so hard to put into words what this place is like and how horrible they are. just reading their google reviews blows my mind and idk how i didn't check them sooner. my four yr old cat stopped eating for a few days so we took him in to get checked. he had a fever and was very dehydrated so we kept him there to give him iv fluids and get tests done. the next morning they called me and said it's not looking good at all, he either has cancer in his lymph nodes or it's a viral or bacterial infection. they told me i can pay $400 to rule out exactly what it is, because these antibiotics

We waited 50 minutes past our appointment time to be seen by a vet assistant. We waited another 20 minutes to see a vet.
They took a urine sample and the results were in at 3 pm the following day. We were told we would be called at 3 then 4 then 5 then 6 then 7 and finally 8 pm.
We followed up 5 times with phone calls.
Our dog was in great discomfort so we decided to drive back to the vet to try and speak with someone in person.
As we were being seen by a vet who was explaining the results of our dog's urine screen, another vet was calling me on my cell phone to give me the results

THIS PLACE IS A HUGE RIP OFF. My dog broke his nail so i took him to them to get it removed. On the phone I was told it would cost $65 for the exam plus the cost to get the nail removed (I assumed the total would be around $100). He was only in the back for 10 minutes and I could hear him crying the entire time. The total came to $253 I couldn't believe it just to remove a toe nail. Make sure if it's not an emergency to call around to get the best price and get a price on everything or else places like this one will take advantage of you.
