I was looking for a new stylist and other services. The lady who did my eyebrow wax and eye lash tint was absolutely wonderful with attention to detail and a wonderful cranial message while I waited for the eye lash tint to set. My hair therapist was on point and did a wonderful job and trust me my hair is hard to work with. They will be my go to now for all services!!!

Visit this salon if you want to lose your insurance credit. The only thing this business is good at is tricking people out of their money. The Indian community should be especially careful, as I have personally been scammed and I know several others who have had similar experiences here. Besides, the service is also sub par and the owner has no idea how to treat customers well. Overall, please save yourselves a headache and your money.

I had an awesome experience with Megan. I used to be nervous about getting haircuts/colour but she does a phenomenal job each time! She has an abundance of skills and talent and is also such a great person which just adds to the experience. The environment at Hairisma is also very welcoming. Highly recommend this salon!

Went in for a shampoo style and a simple low bun, over the phone it was quoted by the owner $35 and I verified a few times as well and he repeated $35 ... I was skeptical going in and now wish I had just went with my gut and didn't go through with it. The stylist tried to talk me out of the wash that I was booked in for, didn't round brush my hair to create volume, and asked if i brought my own hair elastic. When she finished and the bun looked alright but the sides and top of my hair looked poofy and frizzy and felt crunchy to touch. I went to pay and they expected me to pay $117!! Not a chance

I can't believe this store that has been in business for over twenty years only has a handful of reviews. This review is specifically for Cora Lee who has been like a member of our family.
While I haven't been to the store in years, my family reminded me that Cora Lee is still working at Harisma and I should really pay her a visit.
She managed to squeeze me in for an appointment on Saturday and I couldn't be happier. She always did an amazing job on my hair when I was younger.

I liked my highlights I got here but I didn't like my haircut. I asked to get rid of my super straight blunt ends and asked for a more whisky feathery end but she kept my hair blunt. It also took more than and extra hour to do my hair than what she originally told me so I had to leave abruptly for another appointment. The person doing my hair was very friendly though and seemed like a perfectionist which was nice but I just wish she could've done it faster? It seemed like she was taking her sweet time and that's why I was late for my next appointment.

I booked a month ago appt for a Saturday for highlights but the lady who was supposed to do my highlights was on medical leave.
With after numerous phone calls I finally got them to get a person to cover my hair appt on the Thurs evening but because it was a short appt I can only opt for a solid color and cut.
The lady they found her name was Jailyn. She was great for the time she had to do my hair. Overall she made this whole experience more enjoyable.
Not sure if I will be back, but I did love that they use Aveda Products.

I love this place! Caris really knows how to listen to what I want for my hair, and can incorporate my inspiration photos and make it work with my hair type. I have also brought my husband and children, and she was fabulous with them as well - and kids cuts are cheaper and far better than at Beaners! I have seen another stylist while Caris was on vacation, and she also did an amazing job with my hair. The salon is comfortable and stylish. The selection of Aveda hair products is great, and though stylists will make product recommendations if you have questions, they are never pushy for sales or

Great people and comfy atmosphere. I have had a haircut here 4 times. My first one, two years ago, was not great but when I went back another stylist, Helen, Fixed me up nice and proper for free. I have since had 3 awesome cuts from Helen and Vanessa. I recommend for guys looking for a mid-30 dollar haircut.

I'm pretty surprised this place doesn't have more ratings! Firstly - it's an aveda-type salon, which means the entire place smells fantastic. although the logo is kind of tacky and the outside doesn't look very upscale, once you step inside of this place you just feel so chic and classy! I definitely recommend Kirsten if you're going to get a massage! I definitely want to try more services that this salon offers!

I saw that Hairisma had a good review on yelp and a specifically good review for a woman named Paula so I booked an appointment and was not disappointed. I got a wax from Paula and she was very professional and made me feel very relaxed. The whole place was clean and the atmosphere was great. The pain was minimal and she was very quick. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had getting waxed. Not traumatizing at all. I would recommend Paula to everyone and I would definitely follow her to any salon she went to.

I've been going to hairisma for about 5 years now and seen the same hairdresser all that time. I receive a call from them not long ago and they're telling me my hairdresser isn't there anymore and that I have 2 other hairdressers to pick from. I asked about my girl and had concerns because she had done such a great job on my hair and was so enjoyable to talk to and I wasn't sure if anyone could match her. Since I felt like I didn't have much choice since they gave no info on my hairdresser, I went to someone else there. I won't name names but I will NEVER be going

I used to go to hairisma, only because they had an amazing hairstylist that no longer works there. I won't name her but I always thought she could better. I noticed a lack of leadership there and she would tell me she had to learn and educate herself because her employer would say she didn't need it out of laziness. In the 4 years I went there, I never seen the owner in the building and was told she only came to do paychecks. I noticed a lot of stylists come and go through there. I know my stylist will excel anywhere and I will follow her wherever she goes.

I can't believe I'm the first person to review Hairisma, though once a client here, always a client and most referrals are probably spread through clients rather than looking them up on yelp. When I lived in Edmonton in the 90s, I found Hairisma in 1992, and it was the only place I went for the final four years I lived there. Even if I knew I was visiting, I waited to cut my hair until I visited and booked a haircut here.
