Depression can rob you of your vital energy and quality of life, and is known to also compromise your immune system and your heart health. While medication can help with severe depression, studies have shown no significant added value in taking anti-depressants for mild to moderate depression. Exercise, diet and psychotherapy are quite effective here.
However, chronic anxiety has different causes, and requires expert treatment to get at its roots, and relieve its symptoms. These and other related symptoms can show up in such conditions as panic attacks, phobias of various sorts, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and various dissociative states and disorders.
