Loetitia has over 25 years experience in the industry, earning several diplomas and certifications for teaching and salon management in her native France. During her career, she's traveled to several different countries, worked on cruise ships, and managed salons in London for 15 years before coming to Canada.

Kazen Hair and Beauty began its story on lower Johnson in the heart of downtown Victoria. With a 10 year legacy Kazen is an award winning brand creating excellence in our industry. My daughter and I went to get a haircut and had a lovely time!! The stylists did a beautiful job and were so professional but easy to talk to. The salon was impeccably clean and followed all Covid protocols. My new favourite salon! And great haircuts to boot!!

I have been getting my haircuts from Cheryl ever since I moved to Victoria in 2018, and I do not intend to switch to a different studio anytime soon! Having dry curly hair, it's really hard to find a stylist that understands how to handle my hair, and Cheryl proved totally up to the challenge and gave me the best haircut I've had, and she does it consistently.

I was in town for a wedding at the Empress and needed a little extra. I made some cold calls the day before and was able to schedule makeup with Roxana. It's always a little anxiety provoking trusting your face to someone you've never met. I could not have been happier with Roxana. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was extremely late to our apt and we were very short on time. I'm heinously lazy when it comes to hair maintenance. I once stood in the parking lot at work and used office scissors to cut my hair.
Unfortunately, a very white woman with very white hair tends to look like Casper the Pissy Ghost, so I needed to warm it up a bit.
I did a little research and choose Kazen to do the work. My stylist, Alissa Fougere, listened to my objectives - warm the color, make sure it's low maintenance and recognize that I have the hair styling ability of a dairy farmer - and she delivered EXACTLY what I needed and wanted. How often does that happen??? I was thrilled

My girlfriend asked me to find her a place to get her hair cut while she was in town so I hopped on Yelp and decided in about 2 minutes to get it cut here.
Needless to say she was super happy with her haircut, it was quick and high quality! A few days later she's still saying how good it was, very pleased!

This is a long overdue post (about 2 years), but well-needed. My husband and I had our destination wedding in Victoria, BC. After talking to different hair and makeup artists, we booked Kazen to do the hair and makeup for me, my bridesmaids, my flower girl, and my mom. They were easy to communicate and correspond with. Kazen did such an awesome job! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup, and they were also within my budget.
Initially, I was a little worried since I couldn't do a test hair and makeup with Kazen prior to my wedding since we were arriving to Victoria the day before the wedding

My hair is really annoying to work with (very straight, very fine, likes to form a perfect sphere of hair somehow around me) so I have had a lot of really frustrating experiences with haircuts.
After discussing it for maybe two minutes, Amanda did one of the best jobs I've seen and it was fast and fun and I got a latte out of it too. Seriously impressive in every way. Go see her asap if you need your hair done.

After researching all the salons in Victoria, word of mouth from our hotel front desk team was the reason I booked an appointment with Kazen Hair Salon. I read the reviews on Amanda from another site and booked with her. After showing her a cute new cut, and telling her what color I normally colored my hair, I was amazed! The cut was perfect, it looks like it should be in a photo magazine. The color is so natural looking with amazing shine, I may find a reason to visit Victoria and Amanda again, sooner than planned. She knocked it out of the ball park and deserves five stars.
