Services
Teck Engineering was established in 2006 by the principal engineer, Thomas Kaufmann. Thomas has over three decades of experience in mechanical engineering design and industrial operations. His expertise in mechanical design and reliability engineering provides a unique perspective that results in practical and robust designs that consistently achieve their intended function.
Teck has been providing design for diesel, heavy fuel oil and natural gas fired power stations ranging in size from 500 kW to 28 MW, in Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut and Africa. Some of our designs incorporate full combined heat and power (CHP) based on heat recovered from the engine jacket water, oil cooling, charge air cooling, and exhaust gas.
Teck provides piping design for industrial facilities to various piping codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.9 and B31.1. We use industry recognized software which allows us to complete the designs in a 3D environment that provides ergonomic design and minimize interference, as well as provides piping isometric drawings that fully incorporate bills of materials.
Teck provides welded steel storage tank design for field erected and shop fabricated tanks to API 650 and API 620. We also provide design modification and repairs for existing tanks to API 653. Our designs are code compliant and undergo detailed and rigorous analyses under various loading conditions to ensure they are fit for the intended purpose.
Teck provides design and assessments of gantry type cranes and bridge cranes to CMAA Specification 70 as well as detailed analyses, fatigue simulations and design modifications for cranes. This includes preparation of detailed engineering drawings and specifications that are suitable for fabrication.
