Dr. Ferreira has been in practice locally since 1996. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He then attended and graduated from the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, Illinois with a Doctorate in Chiropractic as well as earning a second Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology.
Dr. Ferreira incorporates a variety of treatment methods including manual adjusting, Thompson Technique, Activator, Impulse Adjustor, acupuncture, Shockwave Therapy, ultrasound therapy and electric current therapy. His patients range in age from infants to the elderly. Shockwave is a highly effective and non-invasive therapy using state-of-the-art technology.

The shockwave unit produces low energy acoustic pressure waves which are delivered via a handheld wand to a targeted area of the body producing a local tissue effect. I’ve seen a few different Chiropractors in the last couple of years and DR. Steven Ferreira is by far the best. He quickly and effectively began treatment on my hip and lower back pain which my last chiropractor had failed to properly assess and treat. My quality of life and my ability to do my daily activities have greatly improved under his care and my pain is almost nonexistent. I’m now confident that under his care, I will soon be back to 100%. I have been nothing but impressed with this office since I started going a couple months back. I always leave feeling better than when I went in. Dr. Ferriera can be a little bit late, but he is always attentive and does not rush your appointment - so an extra ten minute delay means nothing. Would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a chiropractor!
