Our team of experienced child specialists offer multiple sedation treatments for your anxious child or special needs patient. We perform in house Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas), Conscious Sedation (Oral Sedation), General Anesthesia (Sleep Dentistry). Nitrous oxide is a fast acting gas that will provide sedative and analgesic effects on children.
These breastfeeding issues may be in part due to the restriction of your newborns tongue and/or lip movement, therefore making it difficult for them to latch on and breastfeed properly. This restriction is due to an abnormally positioned or thickened tongue frenum or lip frenum. The frenum is a normal anatomical tissue attached from the tongue to the floor of the mouth or from the lips to the gums around our teeth.
The problem is infants, anxious teens or special needs children, require a more specialized level of care than most dental offices are qualified to provide. Long wait times for sedation dentistry, and multiple appointments for complicated cases can make this process feel overwhelming for both the parent and the child.

My son is 20 months old and we have been here twice to see Dr. Chan. My son was crying and screaming both times and Dr. Chan was patient and calm and just went with the flow of things. Happy with the service here so far.
My only complaint is parking. Not always available and sometimes other people park in your designated spots.

My young teen has huge dental and needle anxieties but from the minute we walked in the door everyone we met was patient and kind. After the dental procedure was over she asked if we could come back there again! I can’t say enough good about all the staff! I highly recommend this place for children of all ages!

My daughter just had dental surgery there. We got referred there after our regular dental clinic struggled to do a check up. My daughter has Intellectual Impairment and ADHD and the staff at Apple Tree were… absolutely amazing! They made my daughter feel less afraid and they were very supportive to me as a parent and offered reasonable advice that I believe will actually work to help maintain my kids teeth better.
