I just had my hair done and I couldn’t wait to write a review of my experience! Melissa was absolutely amazing! She took the time to listen and answer all my questions. She new exactly what hair cut I wanted and toner. She made me feel so comfortable and was so gentle with my hair. I haven’t felt beautiful in a long time and I felt this way leaving the salon.

This team of professionals is the BEST! Friendly atmosphere, great professional service, attention to details and genuine interest to satisfy customer needs. They really listen to what you are saying. I had a pleasure working with Melissa but while I was at the salon, every single customer received a red-carpet worthy haircut. Prices blew me away as well. I would say, this gem is an affordable luxury! You would be pleasantly surprised! Walked in one afternoon, looking for someone to cut my hair, I had a man bun. Melissa squeezed me in and we got started. Showed her what I was looking for and she got it! She was so sweet, friendly, funny and has 9 years in the hair industry under her belt! She did an amazing job, got exactly what I wanted and gave me some tips to style my new hairdo! Affordable for a mens cut, especially cause if it was thick, shoulder-length hair.

Avoid this salon. Maxine "Director stylist" has no clue about how to dye dark hair. She did not bleach my hair before applying the colour I had wanted and ended up with a blotch of coloured hair in the back. No colour elsewhere. In the end she says "your hair was just too dark". Well duh, that's why I paid $200.00+ to get it done professionally.
Just a bunch of cash grabbers with no experience. I'd rather go to a well known salon which can actually do the job they say they can!

I'm very particular with my hair and like drastic changes. Melissa took the time to understand my vision and did exactly what I wanted with both cut (from long hair to short lob) and colour/tone (medium brown to blonde Balayage). I was so happy and have found my hair salon. The fact I frequently have people asking where I had my hair done, and wanting a quick photo for reference is always a great sign.

I have been going to Tom and Maxine since 1985 when they were just kids starting out at Woodbine Centre along with the lovely Carmella. Over the last 30 years, they have become wonderful friends and my talented hairstylists. Along the way came Cindi who fits right in to the team. And now I/we are blessed with the young and very talented Melissa! The fact that Maxine and Tom have been doing my hair for 30 years says it all. I would not dream of going to anyone else. I have been a customer of Tomax Hair Salon for 20 years. The staff is just amazing, always so friendly and they make you feel so comfortable and at ease. Maxine has been doing my hair for the past 20 years and every time I leave the salon my hair looks amazing. I just got back from St. Marten and I can't tell you how many people in St Marten commented on how much they liked my hair and it is just not in St Marten I get such positive comments about my hair, it is almost everywhere I go. I have been going to Tomax for over a year now. I moved to the area and needed to find a great new stylist and I found her at Tomax! I absolutely love the service and the prices and my stylist Melissa is the absolutely best! She always gives me what I ask for and even advises me on how to properly take care of my hair. This is the second time I've been to this salon in the span of 7 years and I remember why I didn't like it. No one greeted me when I walked in, everyone was too busy chatting up the regulars. I showed Melissa pictures of how I wanted my hair to look like and it ended up being at least 3 inches shorter than what I had hoped for. Horrible experience! And now I have to deal with a hair style that looks like a helmet for a good 3 months. Not impressed.
