In the mid 1990's, the Peace Portal Alliance Church congregation had a vision to create a safe place where people from the local community could come for professional affordable counselling services. Our counselling centre was to become a place where people could connect deeply, navigate life's challenges and be healed from various situations.
Having been in the community for over a decade, it is apparent the need for this affordable counselling service and the dream of meeting the needs of a diverse community continues to thrive. Peace Portal Counselling Centre has emerged as a professionally credentialed community based centre located in the South Surrey area that impacts lives throughout the lower mainland.

We believe both the client and the counsellor are on a journey together as they constantly construct and reconstruct their meanings. We believe each person is an expert of him/herself. We build an open, safe and non judgmental connection with clients where they are free to be themselves.
It is through this connection that clients are able to be active agents of change enabling them to reach their potential socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically and spiritually.We collaboratively work with clients and choose a counselling approach that best fits with the client and their situation.

Susie Lang-Gould is the Director of the Peace Portal Counselling Centre. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a registered member in good standing with BCACC and BCTF. Susie has over 20 years of experience as a Coach, Teacher, and Clinical Counsellor working in both private and public school settings and at Family Services of Greater Vancouver.
Estera Boldut is a Registered Social Worker and a Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trinity Western University and her doctorate in psychology from California Southern University. With a gentle and compassionate presence, Estera invites her clients to bring their concerns into the counseling room.
Dave Clark is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who considers it a tremendous privilege to walk with clients through their fears, hurts, and life transitions. Dave's passion is seeing clients experience healing and a renewed sense of purpose and vitality in life. His counselling style is warm, compassionate, and engaged.
