Ear mites are a small, almost microscopic parasite belonging to the Arachnida family, like ticks and mange mites. With the recent move to Stage 3 in British Columbia, we are pleased to be able to make some modifications to our operating policies. We will move to a "restricted waiting room" policy to protect our clients and staff.
When you arrive, please remain outside the hospital and use your cell phone to call us. There will be a limit on the number of clients we can accommodate in the clinic at any one time. For appointments such as ill pets and annual wellness or vaccine appointments, we will be able to have one owner accompany the pet into the exam room.

Why can't my pet see the same veterinarian each time we visit? We make every effort to accommodate our clients' requests. However, there may be circumstances that prevent a certain veterinary team member from being available during your pet's visit. Scheduling conflicts, emergency situations and vacation schedules all play a role in their availability.

I would not recommend Alouette Animal Hospital to a friend. I had two bad experiences at this location with my cat, the latter of which has left both my cat and I excessively stressed. The first time I came here to get my cat's nails trimmed they mixed him up with another cat and gave him a number of shots and unnecessary examinations. Fortunately, they didn't mix him up with a cat that needed medication. The second time around, we came in for a vet consultation because my cat's nails grew too long and he scratched himself in the eye. They prescribed drops to make the eye better, but said he needs

My previous 5 stars is now 2. It would be 1 but the front desk staff warrant an extra star. Alouette was great when I first started going there but I've had too many bad experiences of late including one vet removing the wrong cyst! He didn't touch the inflamed, oozing one he examined and drained the week prior so my poor dog suffered more than he needed to by having two surgeries in the same day - that was in 2020! The cyst he removed was not inflamed. I get that my dog has many lumps and bumps, but the one that was swollen and bloody that he drained the week prior was pretty obvious if he were

I was very distraught when I had to put down my Boogoos. He was such a great companion. I had him 16 years. I wanted to die as well. But since then I have another baby cat 2 months old Brady. I love him to death and he loves me. Life has turned back to normal, but will always remember Boogoos.

I've went here for the first time a while back, and being a senior I expected a discount for my age, but unfortunately I've been let down with their unpleasant refusal to cooperate with me about getting a lower price on what was needed for my cat. My cat is now a stage three diabetic and has been having kidney & heart problems since the age of six. Now that they're ten years old I've been to countless of doctors and never ever did I get a proper treatment for my old man. I am eighty one years myself and am getting tired of being constantly let down from many vets over in the lower mainland. This

All of the staff have been amazing and helpful. Our dog has seemed to have many minor health issues, and they have always taken great care of him and his health, answered any of my questions and taken into consideration any of my thoughts/concerns. I would definitely recommend this vet clinic.

Dear Alouette Animal Hospital,
I have been a loyal pet patient for 16 years but when it came time to say good bye to my beloved Tucker you let me down. I needed you to come to my home to help him pass on from his pain and you refused. He couldn’t walk anymore and he would have hated to be picked up and put in the car to take to your clinic. Thank… goodness there was another vet that would come to our home and gently allow him to pass away. I know we are in a pandemic but as I told you both my husband and I are vaccinated and are health care workers who have always followed Covid safety

The staff were super friendly on the phone when I called with a somewhat emergent visit with our senior Malti-poo. Then when we arrived, both the assistant and the vet were amazing. Our dog wasn't shaking like he sometimes does, which meant he felt okay. They made sure we were well informed of this injury and took the time to ask us about his previous health conditions, since this was the first time they saw him. Thank you for taking such good care of our puppy and for putting my anxieties at ease. It means the world to us.

Friendly staff and knowledgeable vets but if your concerned about your pets well-being take them elsewhere. This clinic is more concerned about keeping appointments then they are about treating animals and that says a lot considering they are always running late. I have been taking all three of my dogs to this clinic for years and several times I have been very disappointed with how they handle emergency situations. There cost is fair at the expense of overall concern for your animal.

I have worked with Alouette in a professional manner and they have always gone above and beyond for our cause caring for hundreds of dogs over the years. Most recently it was personal when my beloved dog was diagnosed with Cancer. There are no words to adequately describe the love and care that was not only given to my dog during that heartbreaking 3weeks - but myself too. Twyla, Shannon, Alena and Dr. Wong truly went above and beyond when it came to appointments, questions, phone calls and more. When it came time to say good-bye they cried with me and made sure that I was ready - as it was time

Thank you Alouette for always taking such good care of my beautiful bulldog - Ola. We popped by yesterday for numerous issues - skin, allergies and infections. Dr. Reardon, Shannon, Emily and team always provide us with excellent care. And to the team who do her nails - Thank You!! She never lets me do her nails but your team takes care of it every time ❤️

We had been bringing our dog to Alouette for approximately 10 years. Was always told they were more expensive but we really liked all the staff who are always very kind and compassionate with our dog. Recently we had our dog’s teeth cleaned and were charged just over $2,200 which was a bit higher than the estimate we’d received. Apparently he’d… needed extensive work as he’d had an abscess and also required a bone graft. We were told he would need two follow up appointments to check how he was healing. When I asked about costs for these follow up appointments I was
