Dewdney Animal Hospital has been a member of the Maple Ridge Community for over 30 years and looking forward to being here for many more. From small and fuzzy to big and scaly! We have lots of experience treating exotics like snakes, lizards, rabbits, rats, ferrets, llamas and yes, even the occasional pig.
That's why we're involved with shelters for homeless cats, dogs and exotic animals. We are giving back to the community by helping these lovely animals find their furever families. At Dewdney Animal Hospital, you are family. Our goal is to give you and your loved ones the special attention, time and respect you deserve.

Reptile community knows Dr. Adrian Walton as "Doctor Death". He is responsible for hundreds of snakes being seized from capable keepers, smear campaigns against reputable keepers, and most importantly - he has euthanized hundreds of seized snakes without even attempting to find new homes for the snakes, finding zoos or reptile sanctuary - ZERO effort put into doing what is best for the animals. All he cares about is the media attention he gets from local news outlets, sensationalism, money, and his ego. He doesn't care about animals. And he hates, mistreats, and straight up murders

Do not trust your animals with this vet!!!!! He has no idea what he is doing and needs to have his license revoked. He has a history of slaughtering hundreds of animals, instead trying to re-home them he killed them all. This man is a horrible human being and I highly advise staying away from this place. His nickname is Dr. DEATH!!!!!! LOOK UP A VIDEO ABOUT HIM ON YOUTUBE CALLED- Why reptile keepers call him Dr. Death

Dr. Adrian Walton is a complete hypocrite. This person should never be around animals alone. He is well known as a snake and reptile killer. He has proven this multiple times, but yet sneakily get away with it by lying and fabricating stories so he can kill many snakes that he can get away with. He reports these animals to local authorities and arrives on scene to kill them mercilessly. He is never interested in rehoming them. He just seeks pleasure in murdering them, and that somehow brings him pleasure. I wish I had not seen this in person, but sadly it keeps happening. He should just stick to

10/10 reccomend! Dr. Walton and all the staff at Dewdney Animal Hospital are incredible. Everyone is warm, welcoming and very friendly. We have seen every vet there and they have always taken the time to thoroughly examine my dog and then explain the situation or problem in a simple and easy to understand way. I feel very fortunate that I am able to bring my dog here!

As always, the service we received this morning went above and beyond! Dr. Watson is amazing and took the time twice this week to explain her findings and concerns in a non-judgemental and thorough way. The office has never charged me for an unnecessary procedure and Dr. Walton awlays tells it like it is. Cannot say enough good things about your office and the service we have received over the last 8 years. I have especially appreciated the additional steps taken over the last 18 months to help reduce the spread of covid and to keep both the staff and patients safe.

I have a great advice to the vet at this clinic, RETIRE TOMORROW. As a new patient, it is very important that I know who will be taking care of my dog and if they are skilled enough. I've had many bad experiences with vets before. I called this clinic earlier today and everything was going well until the receptionist tells me I won't be allowed in the clinic at all. So I am supposed to allow my dog to go inside with people I have never seen before while I stay in the car. I called again to see if they would open an exception but the answer was no. It would be interesting if I see anyone from this

We recently had an emergency situation with our 8 year old golden lab Jasper, who we have been taking to Dewdney Animal Hospital since he was 8 weeks old. Dr. Walton and his team acted quickly and professionally. Within 15 minutes of arriving, Dr Walton had a diagnosis and referred us to a specialty animal hospital in Langley for emergency surgery that afternoon. Because of Dr .Walton acting so quickly our dog is home now with us. Thank you so much to Dr. Walton, Emma and the entire team.

These people here are the worst. I can't believe how rudely they treated me. They treated me like I'm stupid and hung up on me. Then when I called back the next lady I spoke to told me "I have no idea what I'm talking about". Again very rude. Steer clear of this place. They need to work on their customer service. And if their customer service is any clue as to how they do their jobs as vets then I would avoid them as well.

Alright so my boyfriend and I heard of this place from a friend of ours, at the time this was the only place we knew of who took care of snakes. Our ball python was having a hard time breathing because of mucus that was accumulating in her mouth and nose so we brought her here concerned that she had a respiratory infection.
The first time we came here the vet told us that there was nothing wrong with her that he could see and that he just needed to flush out her breathing system with water and he gave us a months worth of Baytril. Altogether the examination

Finding a vet that is trustworthy, knowledgable and compassionate is the ultimate trifecta. Dr. Walton encompasses all of these things and more. I drive in from downtown Vancouver to bring my pets here and it's worth every minute of the commute. I can't recommend this animal hospital enough. For emergencies or regular check up's, bring your pets here to ensure they're treated properly!

Dr. Walton and his staff are renown throughout the Metro Vancouver area for their impeccable care for not only client animals but also shelter animals. His clinic is my back-up clinic when I can't get out to Granville Island and I can't say enough good things about them. The only thing I can say that's a con about them is that they are not specialists in the pets that I own but (dog and cat) but rather focus more on exotics.

Dr. Walton and his team are well worth the drive from Vancouver to Maple Ridge. Dewdney Animal hospital will not recommend services that are not necessary as many other clinics do to pet owners.
Dr Walton is a key part of Without Borders Boxer Rescue, providing medical care to injured boxers that come from California. He is donates his time for the local SPCA. As I was picking up my dog yesterday, I overheard him offer to provide care for come chihahaus that had been removed from a hoarding situation.
Dewdney Animal Hospital is amazing thanks to its care and staff!
