I went to Island Muffler because my muffler pipe came loose. I asked if they would be able to repair it and they told me it was unrepairable because they would damage the pipe (which was not rusted at all) while trying to fix it. I was quoted just under $1400. I then called Budget Brake and Muffler. They were able to look at it right away and told me it was an easy fix and would cost $130. $130!!!!!! My dad has also seen Island Muffler take complete advantage of women who seem like they don't know about cars. He watched one of their technicians tell a woman the whole front end of her car needed

Ty and his crew were terrific to deal with for my older Nissan Axxess. I had a family member go in for me and while there was a bit of a delay (hoist issue), he loaned my family member a car so she could do her shopping for a few hours. Ty quoted me a fair price and that was the price, no surprise, no drama. They set such a good example of what a repair shop be like. Thank you for taking care of me and my family.

If you are debating between automotive repair establishments here in Victoria, make the right decision by going to Island Muffler & Brake Auto Care. Ive gone to Island Mufflers a couple times now, and everytime i go, they always have absolutely fantastic customer service. There prices are legit and they do exceptional work! The times ive gone theyve always been very honest with this is/isnt a good idea to do and why, which i appreciate very much instead of them installing whatever i want and having it break my truck down in the future.. there are high up in my top 10 of favorite places to do business with and recommend when people ask.

Excellent experiences here. The staff are all incredibly kind and willing to answer any questions I had (I had lots). They also did not add on unnecessary jobs that 'needed fixing' like other mechanics I have gone to before. I have a family member who is a mechanic in another province and he agreed that all of the suggested repairs were very reasonable and that the staff were being incredibly honest with what needed to be done.
Even when they were unexpectedly short-staffed they still managed to get all the repairs done and with exceptional quality. My car runs amazingly now. Thank you to Bill
