Services
Three slices of toasted Italian bread topped with fresh tomatoes, garlic, oregano, parsley and olive oil. Tortellini rings filled with cheese and sauteed in butter, garlic, mushrooms, smoked ham and peas. Served in our alfredo sauce. Oven baked ground beef, potato, eggplant, zucchini, and parmesan cheese, and topped with our bechamel cream sauce.

I have always had amazing food experiences when I have gone in person.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend eating here for take out/pick up. I had ordered a single dish along with an appetizer for takeout, The total came out to about 70$, which would have been fine if the food wasn't so overcooked that I stopped eating after a few bites. So the 2 stars are in reference to how they treat take out orders with seemingly a lot less care, and considering the price is the same as if I were to dine in I expect the same quality of food.

The lamb I had was massive and very tasty. The wine they recommended was very good value and really nice to drink. If I can't find it in my neighbourhood then I will pick up some more from here the next time I am in Nanaimo.
I also dropped a fork and the server was in the other room, heard it and quickly came over and replaced it before I could even say anything to anyone.
Then the chef toured all the tables to check out how we are doing and even give us a free tasting of the cheesecake.

My friends and family order from Alexandra's at least once a month and it's always consistently delicious and so filling! The portion sizes are excellent for people as active as we are, and if there are any leftovers they often taste even better the next day. We've worked our way through a significant portion of their menu but their chicken souvaki is a classic that's part of our order every time. The staff are lovely and boy do they know how to cook Greek comfort food. I highly recommend this place!

First time eating Greek food in a restaurant. Maybe I'm not used to the taste of Greek food, but I ordered the Greek platter and it tasted pretty average. Potato tasted good but chicken was kinda dry; lamb, calamari, spanokopita, and hummus was decent; pita was bland.
Came with a complimentary slice of cheesecake and that was pretty good.
Didn't try their Italian food but I will update my review if necessary when I do.

We had a very tasty meal for 4 at Alexandra’s bistro. Generous portions, delicious food, and very reasonably priced. Please order takeout or go for a sit-down meal to support this local business. The owner even surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake dessert with a delicious mango sauce. Also very accommodating for our son, who has food allergies.

This is with out a doubt the best in traditional Greek dining on the island. Excellent home cooked meals and plenty of it and we have been to Greece and Crete. I’m always amazed that the quality never changes. I can recommend Alexandra’s to anyone looking for Roast Lamb to Calamari , Spanokopita and the traditional Greek platter for 2. Yum. We’ve introduced Alexandra’s to many friends visiting and after their meal they always agree. It’s the Best Greek food they’ve ever tasted. Family run restaurant and always a smile on their faces. We feel like part of the family now Great traditional

Never a bad meal have I had at Alexandra’s Bistro! Bobby and his Staff do an excellent job. We ordered the Special Greek Platter for 2 for our 25th Anniversary for take out, nice romantic evening with great food. Highly recommended! Anyone asks me where to go? I tell them the Alexandra’s Bistro.
