Baker Animal Clinic was established in 1981 by Dr. Brad Baker. The clinic has grown exponentially over the years, now owned by Dr. Dave Sutherland and Dr. Cheryl Birss with almost 20 full time employees. Our clinic occupies 8000 sq feet and includes five exam rooms, pharmacy, treatment area, xray room, isolation room, full surgery suite, and kennel areas for visiting pets!

1627 Dundas St. East in Whitby on the south side of Dundas St. (Hwy 2) just east of Thickson Road. The clinic is right beside the entrance to the Whitby Mall and Sobeys. I highly recommend this vet after having been to a number of different vets. All of the staff go above and beyond and they truly care about your furry loved one. I have Dr. Sutherland as a vet; he is so kind and knowledgeable and always take the extra time needed to explain every little detail. I will never go anywhere else.

My mom takes her dog to Baker and highly recommended them so when I got my new puppy I started to go there as well. My puppy was dealing with ongoing stomach issues and the staff and veterinarians were extremely helpful. I felt like I was calling almost everyday for help! They were always extremely nice and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure my puppy was feeling better. They even call the next day to check up on my puppy which I think is amazing. I just recently got a new puppy and i was very nervous about bringing bailey (12 week old puppy) to the vet. My family friends referred us to the Baker Animal clinic and our first experience was amazing, the vet called us and talked to us for about 20 mins answering all my questions and the vet technicians were very helpful and extremely nice, take care of animals and love them!!

A month ago I would not have had a bad word to say about Baker Animal Clinic but today Is a slightly different story. Our dog miller had been coming here for 9+ years. Baker Animal Clinic and their staff saved his life and helped us navigate a very difficult illness for him when we first brought him in 9 years ago. They helped us get him healthy and we continued to come here for years due to their compassion, flexibility, kindness and incredible knowledge.
