Very helpful and available for after hours vet needs. Used twice. Once was for sad occasion and had to have dog put down. And once for new puppy who got sick for unknown reasons and she's recovering well..back to her happy self. Very happy with the service!

We brought our black lab Bailey in on Tuesday evening after she suddenly fell very ill during the day. Despite how busy the clinic was and the initial timeline provided, her case was deemed an emergency and the vet/vet tech was quick to get her triaged and begin diagnosing the issue.
The vet was incredibly compassionate and followed up with us several times during the night. She gave detailed updates and explained the cost and what the treatment plans would be to get Bailey stabilized throughout the night. Despite how stressful the situation was, I could sense that Bailey was in caring hands for

Cannot thank this clinic enough for giving our elderly dog immediate care after hours. After going to a previous clinic days prior because they were the only option in the moment, we were told to keep a wound bandaged for 3 days. After unwrapping the wound we were absolutely disgusted by the mess that was underneath.. the area wasn't shaved and the dead skin was left to rot. It was certainly irritated and infected. We were absolutely NOT taking him back to the other vet, and luckily were able to get into AEC right away for proper treatment. We feel SO much better about how it looks after they cleaned

I brought my Siamese cat after he had been attacked in my backyard by a wayward cat. He had a large tear on his back hind leg . I took him to the back parking lot of the clinic and waited. At 10am Sunday November 21, 2021 the staff took Loki and his crate. Finally after calling several times. I was was not told to come and get loki until 7:30 pm that night. This is not proper. I believe in triage ,but my cat was traumatized waiting to be looked after for 9 hours. I kept calling and waiting all day. Be aware that the staff should give you a heads up for the time element. So wrong my poor Loki. All

Despite a major emergency coming in a few minutes after I arrived, my dog was still seen quite quickly and the process was very smooth. When the vet called to discuss the issue, he mentioned another totally unrelated issue (that I was already aware of) which my usual vet hadn't even noticed when he did an exam a couple weeks prior. I was impressed with the level of exam done. Overall, a great experience.

I chose to keep my fur baby here overnight as opposed to staying at our regular vet alone after a run in with some lilies and I was so glad that I did. The staff were very friendly, kept me updated on how he was doing, and I felt like he was respected and loved while he was there. They let me know he was watching some nature shows late at night and that he was resting comfortably and it really put my anxieties at ease. Thanks for all of your help!

Just moved to Durham are from downtown Toronto and couldn’t get my cat into see the new vet for two weeks. It was an emergency as cat was having sudden episodes screaming out in pain. Was really nervous taking (and dropping off) my baby to a new place to get checked, but was really impressed with the level of care and attention he received. They took great care of him. We were not able to figure out a diagnosis (history of renal disease) but did necessary bloodwork and given pain meds to manage. Will monitor and followup with imaging & urinalysis. I feel comfortable if I need to take him back

We had to bring our cat Teddy in on Saturday night as his paw had been bleeding and we weren’t able to stop the bleeding at home. Having called a number of other emergency clinics in my area and being quoted a 14 hour wait time, I was really glad when I called AEC of Durham they told me they could take him. The receptionist on the phone was very kind and took all of our information before arriving there. On arrival we were instructed to call and they were able to take Teddy within 10-15 minutes. While we weren’t allowed inside, we were updated on his diagnosis and condition in a timely matter

2 years ago today I had to take my cat here to get put down. They made us very comfortable, and were very friendly. Today I had to bring my 14 week old puppy in due to infected incisions. Although they were busy, we were only there for a total of 2 hours. She always comes out of the vet with a sad face, but not tonight. She came out happy as can be and I can’t thank them enough for helping my girl! Thank you again.

Overall alright, given the somber reason for going.
Brought my dog in and it had to be euthanized. I would say 3 out of 4 employees were kind and considerate. The technician was sympathetic and did her job well. There was one lady who spoke very sarcastically and made my moment even more heart-wrenching. Probably why I cried so hard when the deed was done. She said "poor Bean" in such a happy, chipper, sarcastic voice that it stabbed my heart like a knife so I couldn't hold my tears in. That lack of empathy and unprofessional attitude makes me wonder why she got into the business if she doesn
