Services
Pets are a part of the family and we believe in caring for your furry family members as if they were our own! The hospital is owned by a husband and wife team - Dr. Tim Mason and Dr. Hayley King. We are a full service veterinary hospital that provides care for dogs and cats. There's a lot that goes on every day at Brock Street Animal Hospital.
Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVT's) are highly educated and trained professionals working as integral members of the veterinary health care team. Their education provides them with the theory and practical skills essential to deliver a gold standard of veterinary care. Two of our staff members have completed this intensive certification program developed by the late, Dr. Sophia Yin.
We are equipped to handle a wide variety of medical conditions, including emergencies. Because we can perform many diagnostic procedures in-house, we can often give you immediate answers and start treating your pet faster. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests.
Our veterinarians provide many surgical services at our clinic, ranging from routine to advanced procedures. Because we want to ensure that our patients receive the best possible outcome, we occasionally refer them to specialists (board-certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations when advanced equipment or training will be beneficial.
Help us keep your pet healthy by bringing him or her in for regular exams and vaccinations. Dogs and cats (and other pets) age far faster than people, so significant changes in your pet's health can happen in a short time. Wellness programs allow us to diagnose diseases and conditions early, when they're easier to treat or manage.

On the day we saw a massive 50cm+ snowstorm, my puppy sustained a bad eye injury. No emergency clinics were open. I called Brock Street Animal Hospital and Dr. King was more than happy to see him. She took a lot of time to go over his injury with us (wading through a parking lot with a foot of snow to come talk to us no less) and followed up with us about it. Every time I had a question I’d call the clinic and they were more than happy to give me guidance.
I truly attribute my puppy’s eye still being in tact and fully healed now to Dr. King and the staff at this animal hospital. I’ve had

Tim Mason, In light of the email received from you, stating that neither you; Tim Mason, Dr. Hayley King, nor the staff at your hospital will be providing further care for Simon, as your suggestion to seek an alternative veterinary facility to provide care for him ( my golden retriever). I strongly suggest that you revise your mission statement that" you are a leader in client relations". All this on the heels of the loss of Dallas our 8 year old Golden. Not a word or message of sympathy or compassion. Well over 10 years of bringing our dogs all three to your business. To make this clear we requested

I have been a customer of Brock street animal hospital since 2006. Currently have my 4th dog, have had adopted and purebred dogs. Dr King is awesome, she's knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything in detail and does not pressure any unneeded procedures.
Prices are also very reasonable.
My current dog gets very nervous every time we go but somehow they manage to work with his anxiety about seeing the vet.

We have been bringing our dogs to this clinic for 18 years now. Dr. King, Dr. Mason and staff have been nothing but professional and caring with each of our pets (and ourselves!) through two losses and three new arrivals. ;) They are respectful of our treatment wishes, and are sure to go over any and all pros and cons to any proposed treatment plan when needed. They also regularly reach out to us after appointments to ensure that all is going well. While I won't claim they are the cheapest vet clinic out there, I will say that they are worth every penny! Thank you to all the Clinic staff! <3

Honestly amazing experience brought my King Shepherd in for eye problem she’s had and they were so patient with her. My dog was very nervous she wouldn’t even walk into the exam room and Dr king did the exam in the lobby. They’re Vet tech was comforting her the whole time petting her and feeding her chicken I had gave her. Some people wouldn’t be as patient. I’m very pleased with how it went I would recommend this place to anyone. Great staff and very caring people!!

Dr King and Dr Mason have looked after 2 of our cats over the last decade. One of them needed a lot of treatment over a years time and eventually we had to put him down. They were so accommodating and compassionate throughout his illness and euthanasia. They even connected us to someone in need of finding a new home for their kitty which became our new kitty. The staff at BSAH are friendly, professional and explain procedures thoroughly and provide fair estimates w/o pressure and offer sound advice. I have recommended them to several people in Durham who are also happy with their services and will

Been taking my dog here for 9 years. Always been great. Till last time I showed with my extremely sick dog.. the very nice lady asked me bunch of questions about my dog and then went and talked to the vet... 10 sec later comes back out to ask if I've ever been to another vet... No, never I respond... 30 sec later, " sorry, we cannot accept your dog at this time"... I will NEVER be bringing my pet or any future pet there ever again

0 Stars for this place. I couldn't have had a worse experience with them. My family and I had to put my dog down in January and had been a loyal patient of theirs for 12 years!! I specifically asked the receptionist and the vet to get an ink paw print from my dog, after having put him down. I was adamant and stressed that it was very important, I even confirmed with them more than once. We also ordered a cement paw print and an urn that we paid for and they mentioned that we could pick up the ink paw print that had asked for, with all of the other stuff. When my mom went to pick it up, they said

Staff were not able to retrieve a simple blood sample from my cat over a 45 minute window. They shaved parts of his neck, as well as his hind leg and continued to jab him until my husband had to step in and ask them to stop. At no point did they try to provide him hydration, as his current veterinarian has pointed out would has assisted. After accomplishing NOTHING, they offered a one day sample of a medication for him to try, then invoiced me $15 for the one pill. The total visit, which didn't accomplish ANYTHING was $300 that my husband paid while I took my cat to the car. After looking over

Dr. Mason and Dr. Hailey looked after our dog and cat. When our dog has reached that age (almost 16 yrs. old), that we have to put him down, they gave us a perfect service. They are very affectionate vets and would recommend them. We have moved now to Peterborough and hopefully will find a vet for my son's dog which we have adopted, as good as Brock Street Animal hospital. Thank you so much.
