Services
We specialize in both Brazilian hair straightening and Brazilian Keratin Treatments (100% formaldehyde free). We offer a 10 minute, 100% grey coverage hair colour for those with limited time. We also provide an organic, 100% grey coverage hair colour for those experiencing allergic responses to conventional hair colour.
I first went to Nivia through a mutual friend as a referral 5 years ago. Nivia knew exactly what my hair needed. It was damaged, thinning and not growing. She introduced me to a natural treatment & product that I to this day I have been continually coming back to Nivia for. Nivia cares about the health of your hair and what hair styles & colour suit you best.

I came into the salon to go all blonde and my hair turned out to be nothing like my picture it was a very brassy colour along with a lot of damage I wish never made the decision to come here considering how much they over charged me. Just because your customers come in with expensive clothes/shoes etc does not mean you should up your price, very unprofessional. I do not recommend going here.

I got a Brazilian Kerotin treatment done by Nilde who was fantastic. My hair is extremely frizzy and uncontrolled, Nilde took care of that! She's very polite, professional and is fast. She was extremely thorough with my hair and I'm super happy with the results. Everyone at Studio West was helpful and polite, they followed all protocols for a Covid safe environment. Go and see Nilde, you will fall in love with your hair.

I normally don't feel compelled enough to actually write a review for something, but this salon went above and beyond. Nívia and her assistent have been my hair stylists for several years now. and I am very glad she gave me exactly what I asked for and it looks amazing. I am so happy with my colouring and cut and also the great care studio west takes with my hair. I would recommend Studio West Hair Design to anyone looking to try something new. My whole life I have hated my thick curly hair. I have explored dozens of salons since I was 12 years old. No one ever cut my hair right, i even had a lady burn my hair off in chunks from using a relaxer. Studio west saved my hair!!!! The Brazilian keratin treatment made my hair soft silky and manageable!! It used to take me 2-3 hours to blow dry and straighten. Now it takes about 20 minutes!! They also fixed my horrible highlights I had done at another so called "reputable" salon. This salon is affordable and the outcome is fantastic every time.

I lost my hairdresser of 20 years and was very frustrated finding someone else who understands fine hair. About 2 years ago my daughter introduced me to Nivia.. Nivia is a true artist at hair styling. She keeps current with the new looks and products. When I leave Studio West I feeling rejuvenated every time. Nivia keeps my hair looking good, always. I am so happy I found this salon. When I first moved to Hamilton I went to another salon and the guy gave me the worst highlights, I had to wear my hair up to go out. Since going Nivia I have had natural highlights, then thicker and a more dramatic darker low lights.
