For the past 30 years, successive governments have continued to neglect eye care which has resulted in severe under funding. In 1989 the government paid $39.15 for an eye exam. In 2021 they pay an average of $44.65. This does not come close to covering the rising cost of rent, equipment and staff wages.

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Owl Optometry ! My glasses fell apart in my hands this morning and I reached out to them to see if they could fix them. They responded to my message immediately and I darted up there. Not even 10mins.later and I can see again! Thank you sooooo much for being so fast and so amazing!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Owl and their staff. They worked very hard with me to ensure that my glasses were meeting my needs and made all necessary corrections to fit my bonkers eyesight. I had a wonderful experience today at Owl with Dr. Yaa! The office is clean and organized, and felt very safe!
The staff members were so thorough with the exam and made sure I didn't have any questions or concerns.
Dr. Yaa was amazing. We got along great and she made a seemingly unexciting experience very enjoyable. She's personable and seems to really care about the job she is doing.
I would absolutely recommend Owl to anyone looking for an optometrist!

I just took my daughter for her first appointment since moving to Toronto and was absolutely thrilled with the service that we receive from Dr Majewski! She was so thorough and just brilliant in her explanations to our daughter and I cannot recommend her and her team highly enough! Our whole family will be registering for regular exams as a result!

Had an eye exam here. Very thorough and informative session. Dr.Victoria Sin was patient, informative and took her time to explain everything. It’s not cheap, at $187 but you get what you pay for, it’s well worth it. A good range of glasses but only a small selection of sunglasses.
They were very clean and thoughtful about about COVID-19. They sanitized everything in front of me. Everyone was wearing masks.

I am a return customer to Owl Optometry, having just recently upgraded my prescription. I had never previously received as thorough an eye exam as I got there, and appreciated the feedback to my numerous questions about the health of my eyes. When it came time to select frames the staff were very helpful but not overbearing, and I felt comfortable taking my time to choose a frame that was just right for me. Overall a great experience.

Dr. Agata was great - friendly, not rushed, and happy to explain your eye condition in as much depth as you'd like to know. The shop has a great selection of frames at varying price points (mostly mid-range), and ranging from pretty conservative to fashion-forward. Has a real neighbourhood feel - surprising how many of the folks coming in were greeted by name!

Will never bother stepping inside this place again. Bought a pair of sunglasses at Saks. They didn't fit right so I brought them into Owl (my neighbourhood store) and politely asked if they could adjust them. I also offered to pay for their time. The woman working there was super rude. She complained I should take them to original store. She insulted me and said the sunglasses were wrong size for my face. She refused to adjust them. Her only solution was to charge me (she said likely between 100-200$) to have nose pads put on them. Basically not helpful at all, for such a basic thing I requested

I took my child here two years ago. While I'm sure her optometry skills are great, I found her chair-side manner awkward. She continually made comments about how pretty and beautiful my child is, which even made my child uncomfortable.
We've since found a new optometrist, but I hope that Dr Majewski will find some other ways to engage in small talk with children other than commenting on their physical appearance.

Just had yet another fantastic experience at owl optometry. I purchased my first funky/edgy glasses from them over three years ago. After wearing them for a few days I was hooked. They became a part of who I was. One week ago, after many years of good service, they broke right at the bridge of the nose. I brought them in not knowing if it was fixable. Within days I heard back saying they could indeed fix them. I dropped them off and within 24 hours I received a call saying they were all fixed up. This place never ceases to amaze! I am so pleased. One thing is for sure. As long as they are open

Making an appointment is easy and I like that you can do everything online, including filling in the patient intake form. Dr M. saw me and she was really friendly and personable. The prescription on my contacts changed, and I was given 2 brands to sample before I made a decision for which one to buy.
They sell contacts and seem to price match with Clearly Contacts, but there's no pressure either way.

My wife and I went in to get our eyes checked after it had been WAY too long. Dr. Majewski was extremely friendly, kind, accommodating, and knowledgable. I feel like she actually wanted to get to know us and what we do to ensure we are taking proper care of our eyes.

Dr. Majewski is a great optometrist! She's nice, friendly, patient and super easy going. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions that I have in regards to laser eye surgery and post-surgery care.
The newly renovated office is brightly lit, equipped with the latest technology and new equipment. Booking an appointment online was easy and simple. Open on Saturdays, the hours easily accommodates my busy schedule.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional and thorough eye exam.

Owl has recently opened up on Roncy. It looked modern, fresh and stylish. As I was also hoping to get some new frames, this place looked great.
I went in today for my eye appointment. Dr. Majewski was great! Relaxed and easy going. She didn't make me feel (too) bad about having neglected my eyes for the past few years.
