Don May Construction was established on Vancouver Island In 1975 by Don May. Don earned one of the first ever Red Seal Certifications in Carpentry in 1962. Don's talent, dedication, and hard work helped him build a highly reputable company for over 40 years. During that time Don mentored a number of aspiring carpenters, including his grandson Derek Heinz.

Derek is a Certified Red Seal Carpenter and a Certified Residential Home Builder with BC Housing. A graduate of the carpentry program at Vancouver Island University, Derek has spent his entire career in the industry.
